Heard today that FC Antrim might be folding, was wondering if FC Antrim finish out of the relegation zone and then fold does this mean that the team who finishes 3rd from bottom will stay up???

How is that "not very disturbing" - teams folding is not a good thing

If they fold after the season finishes I think the bottom 3 go down and an extra team comes up from the 3rd.

I can only assume by "not very disturbing" he means from a TFC survival point of view?? Surely no one could enjoy the demise of another BSML club!!!!
Hope they get it sorted, like most people I'd hate to hear of any of our clubs in this position!!

Hope they get it sorted, like most people I'd hate to hear of any of our clubs in this position!! Think its getting increasingly harder for third/second and mid table 1st div clubs to get decent players. With so much coaching and the likes now adays for young ones imo it will affect the bsml...when i was younger the coaching was s**te...and when you hit the age of 15/16 you couldnt wait to get playing in the bsml and the older more experienced players brought you on. Nowadays all the young ones are playing youth football up to the age of 18 then if there good enough staying on with irish league clubs playing for reserves and for those who dont make it go and try championship and amateur league clubs. In saying that atm the top 4 or 5 sides in the 1st, especially the top two of homers and carniny can still pull in big names and amateur league players. Imo as times goes on either the standard will drop in bsml or we will see the demise of alot of clubs. Also the money it costs to run clubs is getting more and more every year....antrim borough council have recntly put up our pitch fees, therefore or weekly dues have went up to compensate that....all things like this add to the destruction of clubs.

OK its good everyone has had their opinion on teams folding the "the not very disturbing" part of this rumour is coming from my point of view as a tfc player although it might not be the best way to stay up if it came about that if this happened and tfc stayed up then it wouldnt be to disturbing for me if fc antrim did fold and thats only my honest opinion.
And donko maybe FC Antrim wouldnt have this problem if all their players didnt jump ship to shore (were the cost of playing football in the antrim borough is the same) or play for the local hurling or gaa team.

Nothing to do with Shore, players are free to move to whatever team they see fit. We only took 4 in the summer, they took 3 from us, so a 1 player swing, hardly club-breaking

Ok then 4 first teamers went to shore. Plus at least 3 that I no of are missing due to playing hurling or Gaelic doesn't help them much.

Think they automatically finish bottom, then only 2 go down, think that's happened when Galgorm folded a few years ago

doesnt sound to good for the 2nd div with 3 teams rumoured to be folding. also heard yesterday the FC Antrim manager quit after an argument with his players after our match yesterday.
To summarize what happened FC antrim were 2 up with 5 mins to go and their manager made 2 subs and their players started shouting no no dont make any changes keep it tight for the last 5. when he replied theirs only 5 mins left. ooops q us to score 2 in the last 5 then to win on penalties.

I would say interstars are a cert to fold, the other 2 wont.
Supposed to be a new team starting in Antrim, going to use the wee pitch at the rugby club, good luck to them on that pitch
