Its a club going for a long time which should include the old Moylena team 9. Jonny Black 8. Micky Hudkinson 4. Mousey Snr Name just 3 players and their numbers I am sure you will have lots of others and younger players to select

I have been watching Enkalon for 15 years now and I would say the two central midfielders at present are right up there with the best ever players at the club. Stephen Wilson and Andy Smith are without question the two best players in the league at the minute. I just hope Enkalon can keep hold of them!

Stephen Wilson was a great player but has lost a lot of pace as he nears 30 - he is very similar to bobby charlton in his heyday - except bobby had more hair!

Mousey & Jaws
Two good players I've had the pleasure of getting a kick at plus two good servants to Enkalon

zippy, the best goalkeeper for Enkalon/Moylena was a guy called Colin Rainey..... sadly died at the age of 18 along with Jimmy Orr (Enkalon) and Harry Young (Rathenraw) in a car crash. Played for Enkalon and was a schoolboy international. A 6"2 guy with great hands (hands was his nick name) agile and kicked the ball a mile. Sadly missed.
All three players were also Ulster Hockey Internationals.
Best Keeper - Colin Rainey

I must correct you however, Colin wasn't a schoolboy international at football, he was in the Ulster u21 Hockey panel and was having trials for Ireland u 21's as well. He had the potential to be a very good goalkeeper at both sports and with experience would have gone on IMO to play in the Irish League, if that is the sport he would have chosen. Enkalon had at that time had an abundance of goalkeepers, as well as Colin there was also Billy Clarke, a very good and experienced keeper, who if memory serves me correctly was their keeper at that time. He went on to be player manager of the team and in his first season won all of the trophies bar one when Enkalon were beaten in the final of a cup by Raglan Homers. That was probably the best team I have ever seen in the SML - Mousey Murdoch, Maurice Devine, Alan Cummings, Brian Tennyson, Ricky Ruddock, Mickey Hodgkinson, Jimmy Watson, Terry Bell, Fergie Wallace, Johnny Black, Michael O'Hagan - just to name a few.

I agree that Gareth Smith (Jaws) is one of the better players in the team!

Timmy Clarke and Jackie Burrows were an awesome partnership for the Enkalon afternoon team many moons ago. Used to watch them every week.
Def worth a mention.
Mousey Senior, though i only seen him a few times was also a good player. Junior Mousey has also bags of ability, comfortable on the ball, and a good brain.
Jeff Johnston has also got to be a great!
And as Steeks wilson has said, him and andy smith were a good partnership in the middle of the park.

Havent seen many of these more recent players but Sam Hannan, Jimmy Watson, Geoff McGerr and Burrows had undoubted class way above the morning League. Those were the days we used to beat Castletown, Carnniny etc for fun.

A gentleman as well. Great player. Micky Hodkinson was also quality....too many to mention really. Enkalon is finished, factory, football and social....
It's a bit sad considering the history and of course a memorable Irish Cup tie against the mighty Blues at Windsor Park a few years ago in which Enkalon actually took the lead before eventually going down 3-1.
Can anyone tell me exactly which year Enkalon FC were formed?
I dont mean Moylena/Enkalon/Moylena...
Just the official FC Enkalon(FC)
Cheers
