Tried to get this game called off during the week as we only had ten players available for this game on thurs night and or manager away at wedding. Inver refused to call it off so we had to play with a depleated team. Weedo was suspended myself out injured, kitty only made it at half time and with 3 players unable to play due to work comitments and wee bird playing with an injured knee it was always going to be a hard task against a team unbeaten in 12 games.
Game was a very tight affair although apart from a long range effort and a brilliant save from campy cant really remember a clear cut chance that inver created. Mott scored just before half time beating the off side trap and one on one with the keeper finished well...weedo stand in manager for the day introduced kitty with about 25 mins left when inver had reverted to 4 4 2 and we were finding alot more space and when put threw got brought down by invers last man who was sent off. We controlled the rest of the game quite comfortably and with about 5 mins left a cross from left was brought down and slotted home by kitty.
Probably or best win of the season today as we were up against it this morning but some great performances from the lads everybody was super and came threw it well against a good inver team.
Good luck to inver for the rest of the season, definately should make the play offs.

Heard Penarol won 3-2 but were poor.

Likely cause they knew we were struggling pele as we had told them we were down alot of players...anyway mate thanks, great win for us and hadnt heard how penarol had played so thanks also for the heads up, il spread the word now!  ;D |

I would call a game off for anyone as long as we got reasonable notice i thinks the way it should be.

Good win for the reds, I have them for div 3, penerol beat use in rtown but I think use will have to much in the next game.

penerol stil favs as they are top of the league so pressures on them. Great result today deserves them right for not calling it of but everybody gave a 100 per cent today. They can shove ther 12 game unbeaten streak up ther ass. Come on the wee reds

inver today were playing against 12men. the ref was terrible, didnt give inver anything.. reds first goal, 3 of there player's were offside about 5yards but s**t happens.. just hope penerol wins the league now to sickn all the reds..lol

G.Mott seems a great signing Been brilliant for us...constant threat! makes some difference when you have someone up front like him!...kitty as well, both of them different class and great outlets. Big reid started up front for us today and had a great game, hard to cope with. |
