Brilliant news and what an achievement for him to manage one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
I always hated Liverpool but have to say with him being the manager now i hope they and he does well.
I just hope they give him time to implement his style of play at Liverpool as he never got it at Reading, he was a little fortunate imo at Swansea as the managers before him have his same style of play mentality(Martinez and Sousa) and he continued on from the good job they done beforehand!

He will need a big clear out and alot of players in. The type that are alot more technically gifted.

I think its great he's from Carnlough etc played for Ballymena Utd but he's had one good season in the Prem.I am sure there's a lot of unhappy Liverpool fans today as even Martin O,Neill other side of Ballymena would be a far bigger coup but i honestly thought a big big name would come in.Hope is successfull but i am in shock he got a job like that and he will be under extreme pressure to get silverware and the obvious champs lge footie.I just cant see him outwit the managers i named above. Did he not outwit a few of them already? Think he beat arsenal and got a result aginst utd with a lesser team than he will have at his disposal now |

Already Liverpool fans on there forums in uproar about this,clearly they now cant see a league title anytime soon.Of course any Liverpool fan or local in general will be delighted a local man is manager of 1 of the biggest clubs in the world but i bet players like Schweinsteiger and other fans around the world are thinking what is going on and who is he.It deffo wont send shivers down yer spine like if Chelsea get Guardiola with Hazard and most likely Hulk coming in......lads flipsake big Eck for Villa got results against 3 of the big 6 this year.Loads of bottom clubs did and rem there was roughly only 15points between Liverpool and the dropzone and look at West Broms team sure they ended up above Swansea  |

Really dont know what to make of this. First of all it's great to have an ulsterman in charge and he will have my full backing while he is there. Having said that we are sitting with a team a mile off challenging for top four never mind the title. He has his teams playing the right way but what sort of signings can we expect now? Can he attract big names without the lure of champions league football? I don't see how he can. Sadly I feel we will be a mid table side next season and probably looking for another manager this time next year.
I really really do hope he can prove me wrong

See your man on Utv from Carnlough on Brendan Rodgers ..he goes its great for the folk from here etc etc only thing is i am from Glenarm and turned on his heels :Dthe way he done it was cracker.Lot of good folk down there i deliver to and they can talk.Take me about 3hrs to do an hrs work next day i am down when them all on a high  |
