Really enjoyable match, rooney's goal was excellent, great build up. Just think they didnt get going in the 2nd half and barca got into their normal flow. I thought fergie would have maybe threw fletcher on 10 mins into the 2nd half as i thought the game started to pass carrick by as he wasnt pressing as much.

Personally, and a lot will disagree, but I think tonight showed Giggs to be too 1 footed for centre mid, he looked awkward at times trying to adjust into position when a right footed challenge or ball would have done. Against Barca you can't afford that luxury, think that's why Fergie switched him and Park at half-time, but by then I think Barca had united sussed.
This is not an assassination on giggs, he is a f**king legend, but that game was screaming out for fletcher

Fellas unlucky Barca are simply too good for any other European team.
Can't wait to get mccleans on monday. Barca 3-1 messi anytime 28/1 only 2.50 on it but paid for not delivering the chinkers last nite lol.

Owen signs another years contract, imo he only there to save face as who in there right mind would sign a contract at his age to play very few games where he could go somewhere else and start everyweek.
Very strange decision from Owen but i suppose he knows he's at the biggest club in the world ;D

Think Fergie has told him he will be used more next season, think Berbatov is a goner and all the funds will be used to buy midfielders. I think he will do well if given a run

Owen is a good player to have about, he'll help the younger players along and is still a quality finisher. I agree with Donko, Berbatov's time is running out as he doesn't do it in the big games plus they might be able to get a few pound for him.
I'd be surprised if there were wholesale changes like the papers are suggesting!

Doesnt do it in the big games? Untrue, hatrick against liverpool is just an example Fair enough, but I can't think of many more examples and I've always been one of his biggest backers. The FA cup semis against Everton he missed a penalty and Man City he was totally anonymous. He hasnt scored in Europe since Celtic at home 2 and a half years ago. Only 4 goals away this season, goes missing in the majority of away games. Goes some way to explaining the teams poor record away in the league. The fact that Fergie didn't think he could even rely on him on the bench for the Champions League final speaks volumes.

Very strange decision from Owen but i suppose he knows he's at the biggest club in the world ;D i think the likes of owen even if he isnt playing week in week out is invaluable for man united!! his experience and no how can only be of help to the younger players like chicarito and wellbeck who play in his position!! plus i reckon he aint finished yet and if it hadnt been for the chicarito adapting so quickly to the prem he would have had alot more games this year!! having guys like owen etc with so much experience about make fergusons job alot easier and would say is one of the major reasons why these people get kept on!!

Your missing my point though jnr!!!! Owen is 31 and would start everyweek for most prem's clubs, at his age he should be playing rather than sitting on the bench for United. Imo he just stays there for is ego.
