Tough game for us this weekend against a very good mitchelin side...but were away from the league so the pressure is off and we can just go out and give it a go as no one expects us to win!

rainey cup randalstown 2-2 mitchelin weedo james surgenor Great win for us today with a weakened team, missing big reid, wee birdie and our striker kitty amongst other injured players leaving or squad stretched with only 12 players available for us . Mitchelin started of better going two nil up in the first twenty minutes with a great finish from fish, and then there centre half scored following a well worked corner. We had a couple of half chances folllowing that with mitty saving well from a one on one with mott. Second half began with us coming out really strong and putting alot of pressure on mitchelins back four with andy hyam and mott a constant threat with there pace. Weedo then scored a great free kick which got us back into the game and give us the confidence to push on at a good time in the match. We defended well and tried to hit on the break and on a few cases had to rely on our keeper who was on excellent form for us today with some cracking saves. Young james surgenor then broke away after a mitchelin mix up at the back and struck the ball of mitty onto an onrushing mitchelin defender who helplessly diverted it into his own net. The rest of the game was battled out and to be honest i thought what we lacked in ability we showed in heart and work rate. 90 mins came and went and extra time was cautious from both teams as nobody wanted to loose so the game ended in a draw which was probably a fair result. In the penalty shoot out we scored or first four and or keeper saved well from one of there lads or 5th penalty was saved...step forward fish, and the rest is history. ;D ;D Good luck mitchelin good side and look a real good setup...on another day could of went your way. no mate, i stretched my hamstring with bout 85 mins gone and went of as alot of big games coming up and didnt want to wreck myself. otherwise i would of had a rattle!! ;D

were hard work at home clown in the cups thats mitchelin and connor we have beat this year...we just go out and give it a go and were strong up front which always gives us a shout! if we get threw the next round hopefully get a 1st div team.
