Good to get a game in this week, especially with more bad weather due. Full squad to pick from tomorrow which is good apart from wee darren kidd who done his ligaments at training last night, hope he has a speedy recovery. Although its hard to get a gud run going at the min with so many games being called off but numbers at training have been good and after a good win against cushendall we go into this game full of confidence. 3 points a must to keep the pressure on penarol!

Very surprising result from the league favs,athletico must have added alot of new players as i saw them earlier in the season and they were poor enough!!!!

Big pitch is an advantage for Athletico, teams can't seem to get used to it.

Hard game today antrim battled really hard and definately a better team than the last time we played. Thought 1st half was even enough they scored from some sloppy defending from us, few chances to clear or lines which we didnt do...fell to there riker who finished well. Rest of half was scrappy enough. Second half we were by far the better team dont think they had one clear cut chance were as we had plenty to win it. Good goal by mott turned well at edge of box and finished well. There keeper had a superb game saving well from weedo, mott and we had about twenty corners which he came for every one of them. Disappointed only coming away with a point but team reacted well in the second half which was a plus. Good luck to antrim the rest of the season, could be play-off contenders thats 2 points they have taken of us this year and have already beaten penarol so there on the up!!

big pitch wasnt a problem donko were used to it as randasltown pitch is big, a bit bumpy though could do with a roll!!

That's a fair assessment Junior. Think we just about shaded the first half and then yous piled on the pressure in the second..Kyle definitely kept us in it. He's the best keeper in that league by a mile. Overall tho I think both teams deserved the point. Was feisty enough at times ps. I think Clown etc are being a bit unfair on us. Any team can have a poor game and we are more than a match for any side in our division. We're unbeaten at home this season and haven't lost in 6. Is that why yous are challenging for the 2nd Donko? Cos of the big pitch?? |

He was a year younger than me in school and done nets for my year team, always thought he would be a good keeper tho he just lacked confidence but he must have that now comin out for corners and stuff.

He just keeps getting better and better with every season. Think it helps when he has a settled back 4 that he is confident in. There isn't too many small pitches (Cushendall aside) in the 3rd this year Donko so we dont have to change the way we play too much. Altho I agree that a team who is used to playing on a postage stamp will def struggle on ours. There's so much space! |
