Arrogant intelligent prick then i wonder if he will still be a prick if he takes the utd hotseat when fergie packs it in. I hope he doesn't, no doubt he is a quality manager, but far too much baggage and controversy with him. Guardiola will take over

Remember the year Ronaldinho destroyed them in Madrid, the Real fans even stood up and applauded him at the end

I assume you think Ronaldo is a better player than Messi, Darren?

I assume you think Ronaldo is a better player than Messi, Darren? of course Messi once entered the bedroom of a girl with whom he hoped to score. The girl tells him to get comfortable and she leaves the room to go freshened up. To her amazement, when she returns, she finds him lying on the bed completely nude with two other naked guys and shouts; "WHAT'S GOING ON?"... Smiling Messi calmly replies: "I am sorry dear, but I can't perform without Xavi and Iniesta!" ;D ;D ;D

Very good. ;D
I'll have to disagree with you though.
I think Messi is probably the best player in my lifetime, close call with him and Zizou.

As a United fan if both were offered to the club and money was no object I would choose to take Ronaldo back. Messi is rightly named the best footballer but when it comes to a sheer ruthless basturd who would kill to put the ball in the net I say Viva Ronaldo every time. That header in Rome!!!!! Aah those were the days.

Thats where i'd be different Bap.
Ronaldo is selfish in my eyes and its all about personal glorification rather than the team winning. Granted he does make massive contributions to the team winning almost every week.
Messi is a team player and is a happy assisting his teammates as he is putting the ball in the onion bag.

My brainwashed 5 year old watches the 2008 United Season Review DVD most nights and I now know most of that season off by heart. To watch the football that team played, overcoming Barcelona etc, with Ronaldo in harness as a team player - he was untouchable. Season after he scored more Moved to Madrid and hasnt he scored more than he's played games? Though I also agree with you that Zidane is the best I have ever seen. He treated the ball like it was his child to be protected.

You could talk about it all day Bap.
There's no doubting the two of them are absolute machines.
Zidane was just the ultimate machine for me, World Cup 98 being the pinnacle.

Aah those were the days. haha course u can call me ron ;D imo ronaldo and messi are best of modern time, but only because football keeps gettin better. like what i mean is, i know its impossible to compare eras! for example best, pele, mardonna etc were best n there time, and it was completely different back then til what it is now. just like in 30 years time it would be unfair to compare ronnie and messi with the next superstar but as far as ronnie and messi are concerned, i will always vote cristiano ;D
