As im sure most on here have either heard about or received the texts going around about another one of our players saying he was rioting in Ardonye, Well i can 100% CONFIRM this is complete LIES.
The Guardian printing our team photo from May last week has left a real bad taste(Why would they print a photo over two months old?)
Anyway i hope this clears things up a little and i just hope we can put this behind us move on and have a successful season.

Very well put mate, it was an issue that needed addressed.
Sadly there are some folk who are just hell bent on causing trouble for our club with their own warped agenda. I know some people who still harbour raw bigotry in this wee part of the world are more often than not particularly stupid but for such a large section of our local community to actually give the suggestions that another player is "clearly seen in the pic" a second thought is extremely alarming. It's blatently obvious to every right thinking individual with any knowledge on this situation that these latest rumours are nothing more than that, rumours. Rumours from a small section of idiots who have nothing better to do with their time than live daily in the past.
I honestly think it's safe to say that Broadway Celtic, among normal people, are still a very well respected club and that we, as a club, will continue to improve in every aspect to make the the club as successful as it has been in the past (2nd Division Champions!!! ;D) and also as it promises to be in the future. I'd be pretty confident the league as a whole will be with us in this!!!!

i understand yous trying to distance yerselfs as it is an embarressing matter but was he not signed this year and at pre season 2-3 days before.seen the texts.not 1 but two.the other lad mentioned it referred to his old bebo page.wasnt nice stuff.but you done the right thing and got rid of him.theres no angels in any team but wearing the clubs tracksuit was harmfull.at least yous sorted it out and showed the club doesnt tolerate it.all the best for 10/11

No doubt it hurt the club and the Guardian printing a photo from over 8 weeks ago was nice of them, I hope in a few weeks it will be all blew over and our results will do the talking |
