Lads after todays game I thought it was about time we had a goal of the season contender thread!
Todays Goals From:
Kieran Loughran - Superb 30 yard free kick into top left hand corner (nice celebration too)
Gavin Burnside- Great work inside the penalty area, left centre half for dead with a nice turn and delightful chip over the keeper and in off the cross bar
Michael Maybin- Tradermark powerful freekick from edge of 18 into the bottom corner
All serious contenders
Also a couple of others that stick in the memory are Donald Crawford smashing one in the top right stanchion against Glenarm and a brilliant effort from Brett McLaughlin against Riverdale early in the early rounds of the cup
Keep em coming lads, a few this saturday would be much appreciated!!

Only messin fish, your goal against Ahoghill has been duly noted
If i remember correctly it was tight control inside the penalty area and a quick swivvel and finish??? I wont call it odacious

Good thread Robert been some cracking goals this season, Donalds other goal in the Glenarm game i thought was better tho.
Passing, a great run from midfield and a great finish. Been some crackers and as you say hopefully plenty more.

There's also been a couple of cracker toe pokes from the curly defender, can't mind his name, and apparently a couple of screamers today.

Another Contender yesterday from Slenny on his return to the hoops. Great finish with outside of right foot from far right hand side of the box, great finish. His first was pretty nice too!

Contender from Saturdays match against Donaghadee from Gavin Burnside. The ball fell to Gavin outside the penalty area and with a great first touch and great vision he delightfully floated the ball over the keeper, best goal on the day!

Havent been on here on a while but needed to add our opening goal against corrymeela, fantastic goal and without sounding OTT one of best footballing goals ive seen at broadway. Some great passing football between dessie b, michael maybin and donald crawford in our right back area led to us opening the play and an excellent ball played forward to philip lynn who at corner of 18 yard box drew out their keeper and finished superbly with outside of his right foot off the far post and in!
Another goal of perhaps lesser quality but a great goal in terms of importance was Micheal maybins goal against Carniny Rangers in the dying minutes to grab a well deserved point!

Supposedly there was a contender on Saturday against Sky Blues from Itchy, unfortunately I wasnt able to make the game I was away watching Suarez take the piss outta United! Il leave if for Pele or Shermourinho to enlighten us!

well after soaking up an rsb attack the ball was collected by itch mc collum just to the left of our 18yd box , itchy set of on a run to take the ball out of the danger area , just as he got near the half way line big chris smiley was calling for the ball and i felt that he should have actually passed it to him , as i feel that chris would have executed from where he was , although seeming to make his way between on coming defenders itchy was in no other position but to keep running with the ball , so he kept running and by this time he had been running with the ball for the best part of perhaps 50/60 yards , then when approaching the rsb 18yd box he cut in to the right to unleash a marvoulesly spectacular shot which hit the bottom right hand corner of the net from approx 20 yds out , so without a doubt a goal of the season contender and id like to add that from a player who has played well and is getting more confidence out of every game he plays , id like to congratulate itchy on his goal and i wish him the best of luck in his quest for more , well done itchy m8 , keeper lit man .
