Big Derby tomorrow in the 1st round of the O'Kane Cup, away to FC Antrim at the Forum.
Would be nice to get a result, however our performance is the main thing, will be good to see the boys having to step up a level, nothing better than a derby to get the tackles flying.

You know Donko......im gonna stick my neck out here and predict a 3-2 win for the SHore Whores.......FC Antrim are a decent side, but then again so is the Mighty Shore.
If wee barney is playing.....just get someone to boot him in the first 5 mins.....he'll spend the rest of the game running round in cirlces like a jack Russell trying to find out who it was.

FC Antrim 2-2 Shore Wanderers ( Shore win 5-4 on penalties)
A fiercely contested local derby ended up in a draw after 90 minutes with Shore winning the lottery of penalties.
FC Antrim started the game with more possession, but it was Shore who broke the deadlock with a Willy Brown header after Sean Gillen flicked on a corner. Shore then picked up their game and started to play a bit of football which resulted in Willy Brown scoring his second with a well placed shot in the box. FC Antrim then got a lucky break just before half time when Kevin Downey clearance crashed off Sean Hales leg, looped over Chris Wheatley, came off the bar and hit Wheatley before Hale knocked it in from 3 inches.
The second half saw both teams playing football and eventually saw FC equalise when Wheatley failed to hold a long range drive and Hale again scored from about 6 inches out. The game then saw FC Antrim continue to put on pressure and saw them hit the bar just before the end of the 90.
Extra time saw bothe teams have chances but failed to convert and we ended up in a penalty shoot-out.
Shores penalties were as follows
Anto Quigg - scored Willy Brown - missed Mackey - scored Aaron Scott - scored Kevin Downey - missed Sean Gillen - scored Popie - scored
So a good result for Shore, now away to Woodside in Rd 2 next week

I went into Antrim Park afterwards and was very tempted to order some more food, but the chef ran out the door, had to settle for Guinness, a meal in a glass!!!!
