So it begins this evening on the hallowed turf.
Lets hope we start with a victory. We've a decent squad tonight so here's hoping.
Fancy Stewartie for a debut goal. ;D

Has it come around soon enough for ye harty? I have no doubt this season is going to be tough for all the teams in Div 2. How's the squad looking? More importantly, how's the pitch looking?

The squad is shaping up quite well. Theres at least 8 new faces. We got humped 6-1 by Westend in our last friendly but we were missing a full team of players.
The pitch was mighty fine before I headed off to Cyprus a couple of weeks ago, but i'm led to believe there was a lot of rain in them two weeks. Should be grand though.
How you's looking for the new season??

Overall I think we're in good shape. Mostly the same faces apart from Mark and Neil McKeown leaving which will be a big loss for us. Orsy and Gary Aiken have returned after a season or two away from Michelin and we're glad to have them back. As long as Aaron stops trying to break Mitty's twig-fingers in training we are hoping to be up in there this season.

Wee 8-3 win tonight. Can't be bad to that. And I still think theres more to come for us. 8 goals and not a debut goal in sight for me. I'll be dropped Wednesday Good start, now on the Wednesday night away in Larne. Will be a tricky match but if we play at the best of our ability we'll more than capable of getting something. When's the last time Clough scored 8 in the one match!?!

We were 4-0 up at half time so the game was basically over.
They missed big Rab Crawford badly. They'll probably be the same old Riverdale in around the playoffs.

Rab Crawford will be a massive loss for Riverdale. They arent half the team without him. Great win for you boys all the same. Looks like theyre will be plenty of goals in 2nd division again this season!

A third of wat we scored the whole of last season in one match last nite.
Riverdale had a young side out last nite and definatly missed rab crawford, but they r still capable of taking points off teams.
Now we need to look forward to a tough game against st comgalls tomoro nite.

"Away" debut goal is good enough my friend Pity we didn't get a result though. Though we were very unlucky not to get anything from the match.
