Home to Valley Rangers in the Junior Shield this sat.
My 'Source' tells me they are usually a very good side, froma competitive league.
this season they have lost a few players and have had a difficult start.
we wont be taking them lightly, would love a wee run in this cup..dont think we have ever made it past christmas??

played them last year. very good footballing side, prob 1 of the best i have played against in a good while so wouldn't be suprised if they've lost a few players. higher teams bound to of been sniffing after a few of there lads.
Home advantage though so should be a good game. Maybe call into it.

looking forward to this game on saturday always nice to play sides from different leagues and see how we stand up against them!! by all accounts valley will be a very good side and if they are anything lik the castlewellan side we played last year from the same league then a very tough game will be on the cards!!
hopefully a full squad to choose from as well and as lenny says hopefully we can get run going in this and maybe make it past christmas for the first time!!

All Saints 5 - Valley Rangers 0 Great win for the Saints against a decent Valley side. Valley and Saints both had good chances (Carlton ) before a great ball from Hudsy sent Chick through who rounded the keeper neatly and finished. Second goal was a penalty from Ryan Lyness, didn't see what it was for. Third goal was a high ball into the box from Chick, Smiley done well to hold off the defender and volley low into the net. 3-0 at half time and the game looked over as a contest. In the second half Valley didn't seem to have the same fight in them, and Saints dictated the play and created a few more chances. Fourth goal was a smashing volley from Ryan Lyness following good work down the right by Hudsy. Windas got the fifth and final goal after chasing a good through ball by Spurgey and rifled past the keeper. Good team performance from All Saints. In nets, Cat made a few good stops and had a safe pair of hands all day. In defence Hudsy was outstanding, setting up 2 goals and very composed in possession. Big Ryan had a great game in midfield, great in the air and up and down the field all game. Smiley and Chick caused all sorts of problems up front and were a handful. Great to see Liam back and he put in a good 75 minutes. Serious squad at the Saints at the minute who had the luxury of Paul McCallin, Spurgey, Macca, Paddy Logan and Stevie Morgan on the bench today. Keep it up lads

OUT OF EUROPE BEFORE CHRISTMAS AGAIN!!!!
Lost this one 2-1, poor enough game i thought, 0-0 at half time we missed a few great chances, they had a great chance right on half time, bar that wasnt much in it.
2nd half we were very flat, couldnt see us losing it though, then we went 2-0 in the space of 10 mins..poor goals from our view.
to be fair we lifted it, got 1 back and pushed hard to the end, just couldnt get the equaliser.
All the best to kircubbin in the next round, and thanks for the great soup after the game..

good call big man...wee joe was the main man today with BFP and Shay not there..hes for the sack!! lol
That team plays in 2A?? i was expecting alot more from them, plus, i thought to play in the amateur league you needed ur pitch fenced off etc! it was just a standard public pitch...

You need your ground fenced off when you go to to intermediate football i.e 1C but for 2A it can be a standard council pitch.
Disapointing to go out of this at the 2nd round stage but a big final to look forward to now on thurs nite
