Have to say a big thanks to Gerry for paying for it and all the work on the pitch he paid for to. Also big Charlie for all his hard work keeping the pitch and all in great shape. Thanks to Gerry and Charlie for the (well maintained) facilities provided.
So, Mitty. What did you think of the new Training Area?

Fell/slipped a right crack on my arse on it @ one stage, lucky Ive plenty of paddingaround there! Great we have a training area so we dont have to wreck the pitch, especially coming into the winter months.

I kept slipping as well, but it'll probably just take a bit of getting used to. It's still better than using the pitch when we don't need to. The pitch ended up wrecked, big time, last season.

It was good to see the pitch in decent condition last night, especially considering the weather of late. Hopefully the pitch won't end up like it was at the end of last season, wrecked. This would be a testament to the training area we are lucky to have. It has proven to be an excellent resource although the odd knee or elbow would disagree.

Yip have to agree with ye there henzo, the pitch, espcially with all the bad weather in past few months is in great nick due to us being on the all weather recently. Id say there wont be too many picthes around town which are as good as it. Think Aiken is the onlyone who would disagree, at least 3 times a night he ends up his arse and cut open, usually after a Gibson tackle too:)

lol
We face Templepatrick at home this Saturday and despite their reputation to kick the sh*t out of a pitch (so to speak) rather than the ball, i'm confident it will remain in good condition. ;D
Only jokin' around Pugford, so don't PM me. ;D

Last i remember it, it was full of holes Not really that special to be honest Pugford, just a rough patch of land that was turned into a decent sized all weather pitch. Does a great job though and im sure a hell of alot of other teams would love to have it there if needed. I was on the pitch at the end of training last night and it really was in good condition. We havent been on it all at all for a couple months and think its been rolled recently so the the hole's should be few and far between.

This time last year the pitch wasn't even playable, so it's definitely better this time around. I know how you feel, i've been injured three times this season, bloody frustrating. You're doing the Marathon aswell then Jogford?

The whole hog!! Didn't do very well last year thanks to cramp at about half way, so here's hoping for a better crack at it this time round. Don't worry Pugs, the pitch should be fine as long as the weather is kind.

4-1 to Michelin, damm strange game. If anything it felt more like a pre-season game. Didnt help with no ref turning up.
We could've/shouldve been at least 4 or 5 up at half time rather than just the 2, helped with a gale force wind behindus! Then to be fair in 2nd half Templepatrick came right back at us, again helped by the wind, and made it 2-1 before we broke away and scored a couple to kill the game.
Think both teams were seeing the league as the most important thing at the minute anyway, but its still nice to get in the next round.

Yip, not a classic by any means. It didn't really seem to be the most important fixture to either team. Despite the absence of a Ref, the volunteers standing-in did a good job. Not much else worth mentioning really, except, do i receive some sort of reward for helping young Mr Gordon begin his challenge for top goalscorer? ;D

Alas young Gordon, you still have nil goals for the season ;D

Felt yous were lucky to get the goal on the stroke of half time. Straight after I nearly scored when the ball trickled by the post. I though that was going in lol. Thats football. You boys went staight down the other end and scored.
I thing the game was an even contest with both sides having their fair share of possession and chances.
Good luck to yous for the rest of the season

Good luck to yous for the rest of the season Same to you lot Pugford. If most of your players would concentrate on playing football, like you did on saturday, instead of just goinig round kicking teams, you would be a decent wee side. Some good players there.
