Victor Gilmore

Just thought I'd give a mention to Victor who sadly passed away after a collision at a road race meeting in the Republic of Ireland.

When I was a kid and went to watch Clough, Victor was the goalkeeper and played for many seasons. Was always good for a few mishaps and was an entertainer.

I'm not into motorbikes but, I believe Victor was a big character within the sport as well.

The only slight consolation if it can be called that, is that Victor died doing what he loved.

Thoughts are with his family at this time.

Knew Victor from coming into the place i work, an absolute gentleman and as you said he passed away doing what he loved. Would have done anything to get a race on the bike.

Didn't know right enough that he played a bit of football back in the day.

A sad day for his family and a loss to motorcycling.
