Amateur league would be a much higher standard IMO.
But the Ballymena intermediate league?? i would fancy us to give any of them a game, and im sure the big 2 (homers and carniny) would be more than capable of winning that league.

def say our league is better than ballymena intermediate and top 4 teams would give any amatur league team a game, I think this is quite an exaggeration. Have you ever watched an Amateur League game at Premier level. Its so much faster than any BSML game I have seen/played in. Teams at that level would eat any BSML team - the clue is in the fact that one is junior level (and not too many win the Junior Shield/Cup) and the other is intermediate level where they compete in Irish Cup, Steel & Sons etc. I'm not knocking this league but take big Cyril as an example - went to Wellington and was a bit-part player. I thought it was harsh on him at the time as you could see he was a super footballer but the manager had a reason and that was better alternatives Certainly there are players in the BSML that could match Amateur League players but not teams. Just to counter that....Chick OKane left ASOB and walked straight into Carrick first team bap. I do think the top bsml would hold there own in afternoon football.

Aye I did change it maybe before you replied. As I said there are some cracking players but the overall quality of teams/squads is nowhere near as strong. Look at clubs like Killyleagh/Malachians/Dunmurry Rec/Newington YC etc. Could you see Carniny getting a draw at Windsor?

ive played in the intermediate league for over 15 years and in my time ive seen sum very good teams come and go!! imo i would say the standard over the past few years has dropped quite abit due to teams leaving the league and teams losing players!!

how would wakehurst compare to teams like newington yc, dunmurry etc? would they be in a higher standard league? we (carniny) beat them 3-0 a year or two ago, albeit was a friendly.

dowie and gavin burndise up top IMO, followed very closely by Paul McNeill. I cant believe no one has ryan lyness in their midfield, he is head and shoulders above anyone in midfield that i have seen in the first div. I must admit, i do like gracey as a player too, i reckon he would have to make the starting 11, cant argue about pele either, class act (thats the only time im gonna say that about him too!!!) tommy spitshine along side him too, would be a great centre half partnership. Rainey or Specs down the right wing, both quality players, maybe rainey sneaks it with his better final ball. I'll leave the rest of the team to others.

Not too many clough boys making these teams here. Lee Megaw, Kyle McRoberts and Ricey have to be in with a shout! Maybe its just becaue they aren't that well known.

Just looking over this....Gavin Burnside IMO is a certainty...complete class act!! Best first touch I've seen at this level.
Hope yese don't mind a lowly 2nd Division (soon to be third division ;D) nobody making a comment?? ;D ;D ;D
