Should have at the very least taken the Homers to extra time tonight.
Even enough 1st half, they took the lead through a Gary Bonnes penalty, then Davy Gibson equalised for Michelin.
2nd half Michelin dominated and missed a few chances, including a penalty. Homers were happy enough to sit back and try to hit us on the break , and thats how they got the winning goal, Rainey (I think) heading in after pretty bad marking.
Anyway, loads of positives tonight, at times we played a team who be be challenging for the 1st div title, off the pitch with some great football and if we had scored again I think we probably would have went on to win the game. Another plus was the size of our squad, we had 19 players turn up 2nite and we have another couple players injured as well who hopefully arent far from a comeback.
If we can play the way we did tonight for most of the season, we should be in and around there in May.
