He wasnt even playing pele, was down watching though. Homers were first to everything last nite, really impressed with them...had some squad down with them also.

But as we all know its a long season.

Rab Ritchie at right back is a very good signing for them and the centre half from wakehurst doesnt miss a thing at the back. There bench was very strong last aswel even with McDowell not there.

This is my third season watching the Homers and this squad is without doubt the best Ive seen. All the usual suspects are there and the signings of Ritchie, Gibson and young Hutchinson have definitely added quality and no ones place is now guaranteed. It shows when you have John McDowell not even stripped, Jeff Mitchell, Paul Sloan, Barry McDowell, Steven McKay and Gordon Mairs all on the line and beat a team that everyone thought would be real challangers this season so easily. Keep up the good work lads.

3-0 more than flattered i thought yes 3 goals from silly mistakes. I would expect most teams to have taken the 3 chances. But the homers as bad as they were still had more than enough chances to score 3 or more goals but as was said above all saints were up for this match fought for every ball never backed out of a tackle. The commitment and desire won the game for all saints not football ability but thats what it takes some times.

IMO u dont beat homers by working hard and winning tackles.
