Well lads cup game on tues night against Clough at the showgrounds!! Few lads to come back into the squad for this game which is always good  , stevie morgan missing tho  big miss cause i fought he was awesome before he got injuried.. Clough have afew players coming back in that ws missing last week and will be up for this!! but hopefully will be a saints win ;D ;D and progression to the next round!!  Come On The Saints |

I didt realise Clough were missing alot of players in the league fixture.
We play them Thursday night at Clough.

No 2 games are ever the same and we have to show Clough the same respect we did on thurs nite.
Tbh the scoreline flattered us a bit didnt think it was a 5-1 game. We used the ball alot better when we had it than them, and took our goals really well.

was never a 5-0 game, we were poor for long spells, there big man up top and wee centre player caused us far too many problems..clough had too many chances for my liking.
fair play to clough, passed the ball well from the back, especially second half.
but we seem to be taking our chances(though smiley could have had 20 ;D ;D).
bad news for us was seeing big carlton and chick come off injured.

to win 5-0 in any game is always good but like lenny says clough caused us problems for spells in the game and had they taken their chances game may have been different!! one big thing that was pleasing from the game was the chances we created and once again scoring 5 goals for the second game running which i dont think we did too often last year!!
big blow with big tully and chick coming off injured but hopefully both will be fine for thursday nights derby!!

Thought we played some great stuff last night and were down a number of players again but, thats no excuse.
Saints took their chances and thats the difference. The last two goals we gave away were inexcusable.
Good luck for the rest of the season.

Agree lads score line defo flattered us in the end. But on the postive side another 5 goals and coming frm midfield as well as up front and a clean sheet some things to build on for thurs nyt!! |
