yea his team, seems to be a successful manager... i think he's about 27 maybe not 2 old for a goalkeeper to still get a move, did you man david forde not only leave derry city bout that age and signed for cardiff, millwall's no 1 now, so it can be done with abit of luck!

Forde is s**te though, properly s**te. Mannus has found his standard IMO. His reputation took a bit of hammering when he couldnt get a contract at a poor league 2 side after a trial.

Well done to Chickenville!!great result!! More money for Scumfield thou with the gate I dont know 100% how that works. But I dont think the Bloos get that much dough out of it....possibley just minimal amount for ground rental. The turnstyles etc are opperated by Cliftonville officals etc. Will look into myself over the weekend.

The only negative to come from it this is the away game in Sofia is on Tuesday. Its awful close to the last game and fans will find it hard to travel. Even the players may struggle to get the time of work again.
As for Boycie this can only make him a better player. Better experience to.
Will any of you be making the trip to the home game? Most like to be at the Sewer.
You Reds.

Congrats to clifftonville, thats a hell of a result, think they finished 3rd in Crotian league last year! And to the Shamrock Rovers...heard Mannus played a stormer and young Thomas scored the winner. All these half decent results in Europe will put Norn Iron's ratings up for the next few years european competitions...maybe get into a later stage

away CSKA Sofia.............
Team looked tired 60 minutes. But what can be expected when you are travelling 3000+ miles so far in such a short space of time (5 days) to play to fairly high level games for part time players. UEFA have once again acted terribley by bringing the game forward till a Tuesday. The 2nd yellow awarded to Garrett was wrong. The ball was there to be won.
Im right in saying our president Jimmy Boyce, ex IFA president, is a big wig in UEFA, Could he not have done something to help us. Surely they should be helping support smaller clubs? Na hes a usless fat chunt.
Still the Reds have did us proud.

Cliftonville may be handed Europa League reprieve Spas Delev in action against Cliftonville at Windsor Park Cliftonville could be reinstated into the Europa League after a player eligibility row involving CSKA Sofia striker Spas Delev.
Delev played in the 2-1 win over the Irish League side on 5 August, three days after his club contract expired.
However, Uefa rules state that any protests over player eligibility must be made within 24 hours of the game.
Uefa are investigating the matter and also alleged paperwork discrepancies in Delev's move from FC Pirin to Sofia.
CSKA defeated the north Belfast side 5-1 on aggregate in the third round qualifier with Delev playing in the second leg at Windsor Park.
The Bulgarian U21 forward joined Sofia from FC Pirin in a one-year loan deal in 2009, with the possibility of making his move permanent.
The Irish FA has contacted Uefa on Cliftonville's behalf and there are expected to be developments on Tuesday.
CSKA Sofia are scheduled to play Welsh side TNS on Thursday in the first leg of the Europa League play-offs. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/irish/8920366.stmWe're just a small club. f**k all will happen. It seems the UEFA/FIFA could use the 24hr timescale as a way of getting rid of us and FC Pirin, and hit CSKA Sofia with a fine. Cant seem wanting a "bigger" club to go out. I see from UEFA's website that the CSKA board have sacked there coach. The club isnt going good domestically. Questions COULD be asked, as to why our board never picked up on this matter themselves. IMHO, CSKA played a player 3 days out of contract, and therefore should not have played and broke the rules and should be thrown out. Cant see it happening, but would love it if they did.

Itl be the 24hr rule that goes against yous I would say. CSKA could be thrown out but I dont think you will be renstated a la Irish Cup final a few years ago, we didnt put the protest in on time so they handed portydoon the cup.
