Just wondering, what the thoughts are on other teams playing there games against us on a 4g pitch?
We have one down in Larne. We have trained on it a few times lately, although it wont be a regular thing cause its expensive.
We have our annual charity match on Saturday on it so it will be good to see what a semi competitive match on it over 90mins is like on the legs.
I have spoke with some Irish League players, mainly Cliftonville, who have played on the pitch at Seaview and they still preferred grass on a whole.
With the standard of pitches in our league, and the weather we get from November to Feb, what would other teams think if we offered our game to them at the 4g pitch?
(on saying that Sandy Bay has been good to us weather wise over the years!)

It certainly looks the part. The hurlers used it as part of their pre-season! Big Bertie was delighted to see GAA in Seacourt!
They then got kicked off cos when ye pull the wee balls bedded in the surface go everywhere.
Larne Youth seem to have a big shout over it though.
PS why it on tomorrow? Always thought it was a wee bit later on, & especially with Holly Communion bein on too!?

We always have the "Danny O Connor" cup game the same day as the FA Cup. We played at Inver Park last few years. But the 4g pitch at Seacourt or "The Cliff" as its known is far far better.

The other good thing about those 4g pitches you only need to cut the grass at Christmas.

I've played on Cookstowns 3G pitch few times in the afternoon and for teams who's not used to playing on it seem to pick up alot of injuries. If your training on it and playing every other week on it im sure its dead on.
