O kane Cup game on Saturday.
Cant make this one, although would love to have went to see what all the fuss about this Carniny team is about.
We should have 2 first team players back, which should make us stronger than we were after that other nights performance against Braid.

we (glenarm) played them the other nite and thay hammered us 6-0!!!! they are a diff class.
play a 6-3-1 and try to keep score below 5!
in my opinion they are better than tec or welly rec 1st and would beat either.

I watched the first half of the Abbeyview - Carniny match last night. Yes they have very good players, but 0-0 at half time and Abbeyview held their own. Gracie has a great throw and put the ball in the danger area every time however, abbeyview closed them down at every opportunity and it seemed to work. Weather or not u can keep that up for 90 min is the difference. Great team.
A point I would like to make is that Carniny obviously attract all the best players...McFadden, Dowie, Gracie, Eddie, Ryan Canning. All very good players playing for different teams 2 seasons ago.
I wonder why an Antrim team cant do this with Antrim players because if they did, then there could be a team from Antrim that could challenge Carniny.

Bremner, I say the exact same thing about the top of the town aload of cracking players top end but they play here there and everywhere. The million dollar question Pele, is why does it not happen with Carniny. Would love to see a BSML Ballymena Select team play against a BSML non Ballymena select team in a friendly. Think there would be only one winner ;D ;D

Tbh mate i think it is already impossible. They are a league above anything left in the BSML and still improving every year. Watching their squad coming out last night showed just how much strength in depth they have and they were still missing a couple!

They were good I must admit. 2-0 at HT but we were competing well with their main threat coming from that ridiculously long throw in. Then they scored straight from the centre in the 2nd half and that was it all over. Tiredness set in, heads went down and individual mistakes cost us goals. Our moment of the match though came when their manager? was mouthing at Dale Kelly (our centre midfielder) who had the ball near the touchline so instead of clearing it up the line he just hoofed it straight at the mouth who took one square in the stones. He was quieter after that. But back to Carniny - a cut above and fit b**tards too.
