Braid 3 v 0 St. Comgalls

Terrible result against a very poor side. Although we fielded a weakened side due to various people being away on work or holiday commitments, I have to say the whole team was very disappointed with this result.

We had chance after chance in the first half. Braid had 3 at best.

They scored straight from the kick off in the 2nd as we were still day dreaming. The 2nd came straight away from an OG, which was identical to the one we conceded to Greencastle Rovers in one of our friendlies.

Braid are very average team, with a fairly solid centre back (the one with big lugs), who was easily there best player.

Not much more to say. Hopefully, that’s our "bad game" out of the way.

Thankfully with the International being on this Wednesday we have no game so getting back to training is certainly required.

One another note, we may have lost one of our strikers, Darren, due to a serious back injury sustained against Penerol. Talk was last night he won’t be able to play football again.

sad to hear anybody to get seriously injured lawnmowerman, especailly when it might stop him playing footy again.

Its bad enough when its a leg break or somethings like that, but when its an really injury like thats its far worse.

Hope he makes a complete recovery.

I wasnt at the game, but the Penerol keeper absolutely clobbered him.

Hes really hurt his back to the point, were he can hardly move at the minute. I dont know the full ins and outs, but the manager told us last night that Darren felt he may have to give up football on his doctors advice. His back was weak, but he really did get hurt.

Wise up lawnmowerman. There was only ever going to be one winner in the game last night. You's weren't at it and had one good chance when the wee man was clean through. 3-0 is hardly a fluke result and it should have been more. If we are very poor side then what does that make you? sour grapes? lol :-)

It makes us fooking terrible.
As I said, hopefully it was or bad game.
The chance the lad had was in the 2nd half, but the first we missed 7 good goalscoring chances.

Not sour grapes. Just frustration at getting beat by a really below average team.

A really below average team that was in the play-off final last year and will win our fair share of games! ;-)
