....yes Brem I actually remember that night, I think the first time we got a slegging at each other face to face (great craic). I actually remember Smiley shouting something, was it not at you personnally?? I remember him getting a lot of stick about it at the time as it was totally uncalled for. I agree, it's unacceptable no matter who's involved. Last night in my eyes was a lot worse though. That crowd, for the most part, was there to cause bother. The abuse in the latter stages started to get out of hand. To be fair the earlier part was really more them just cheering when big Sean done something wrong. It defo could have spiralled out of control as a large section of that crowd were intent on it. I'll say it again, cowards!!! Again, I would be totally opposed to it on any side and if my clubs 'supporters' gathered like that and tried to cause trouble of any kind myself and others with the club would be very quick to put a stop to it. In my opinion if you can't be man enough to slabber at someone on your own then you're a complete coward doing it just because your mates are behind you!! Sammy Neil is someone I've had many a fight with on a football pitch years ago but I will say a big fair play to him last night for being the only one with the balls to say anything to them!!!! The last time I seen anything like that was when we travelled to Ahoghill years ago to be met by a larger crowd again. Police everywhere. I will make it clear though it was nothing to do with the Ahoghill team at the time as the crowd were all the tubes from Ballymena out trying to start trouble. Big Gorum was too busy trying to keep my goals out of the net. Think he succeeded that day too!!! hahaha.... That carry on should be a thing of the past lads, and for the most part, it has been!!!!! i rem that fish , i kept a clean sheet and we won 1nil ;D after the game the psni wanted 2 sign me up as there keeper ;D im so glad every1 knows that crowd had nothing 2 do way our club .... most saturday we get 4subs and 3others up the line , thats wat i want .... boys who are there with thistle hearts .... listening 2 me is like 50voices anywere.... both teams calm down

this town is just a s**t hole of a town full stop, we have tried over the past few weeks to try and recruit players for next season, and a few of them have been from "across the proverbial divide" the reply each time was, id love to play for you's but its not worth the hassle id get round the town for playing for all saints, yet the other way round is no hassle, infact carniny have been on trying to sign up some of our players for next season, f**king stinks in my eyes and typical of this "bible belt" of a town. how the f**k is any progress meant to be made when crap like this is happening. In short, Ballymena is, always has been and always will be a s**t hole.!!! Over and out

I think, in the main, things are far better in the BSML than they ever were. I can mind being at Dunfane for the Demense v Woodside game when it really kicked off and even made national news. That was the worst Id ever seen. I know there has been a few bad incidents, but lets face it there in this wee country there will ALWAYS be a minority who want to cause trouble.
I know personally id enjoy kicking Pele at Broadway just as much as I would kicking Chimpy at the Homers ;D

Apart from Sherman Wright ;D I think it would be unfair to label the big man as he wouldnt really fit under any kind of label, infact starting his own wee religion/cult 'the Shermanites' would probably be more appropiate ;D

The best teams in any league are the ones that are happy to mix and accept all players regardless of race or religion. Surely you want to sign a player because of ability and nothing else.
I know this isn't always the case but the teams that don't do this haven't and won't go anywhere.
Everyone doesn't have to be best mates and some players might not even get on away from football but on the pitch it shouldn't come into it.

fish mind the time sherman stroked waide!! lol[/quote] Probably the funniest thing I ever seen!!!! ;D ;D ;D Don't know if I've posted this before (if not I can't believe I forgot about it during the many stories about him on here) but one night a few years back we were in the Cellar. Me, Lenny, Big Bad Bungle and a few others. All night Austy Waide and Sherman were running in and out together smoking. This went on for half the night and the craic was great. I mind Austy then saying to wee Pat to get him a new pack of cigs and the pair of them went out for another drag...... They came back in and I heard Austy ask Sherman did he want a beer. Sherman was very quick to say no (I found that strange right away) and he looked in a wild rush, grabbing his coat saing, "no mate, I have to run here, I forgot I had to be somewhere", and away he went. I just happened to say, for a laugh, that he must have a wee 'job' to do. Before I could draw me next breath I was met with a tirade from Waide, "Now Paul, that's not fair, Sherman's a changed man. People give him a hard time. All that s**te's in his past. How's a man supposed to move on and put his trouble's behind him if people won't give him a chance" (etc etc). We had a brief arguement basically about me only joking and it finished with Austy apologising, "sorry Paul, I just feel really sorry for him as everyone thinks what you said without giving him a chance. Honestly he's a great fella........now, where's my fegs"...... So so funny!!!!!!! His redner was priceless!!!! hahahaha.... ;D

to be honest the skyblues had nothing to do with the large crowd that was there on tuesday night are regular supporters were there bt after that it was the rest of the crowds choice to come down and watch the game
as for all the comments that may have or may not have been said there was no need for it and were quickly tld to shut up. as for smiley dnt fink he really had any rite coming onto the pitch every time sumbody was hurt as he plays for dunloy???
and we skyblues were set out to do a job and that was to win the game and that is wat we done so end of

Did anyone see the disgraceful write up about this game in the Sunday World. I've never read such one sided, inaccurate tripe in my life. Clearly a Randalstown source (maybe not Sky Blues). To claim Northend to be some one sided sectarian club who caused all the trouble, subjecting Sky Blues, who are well respected, to sectarian abuse and a number of assaults causing the reaction in Randalstown is total rubbish. Also it says Northend play their home games in Dunclug Estate, shows the source isn't local!! Pure Crap!!!!
I'm not a player or connected to Northend in any way but I did play there a few years back and the picture painted of the club in that paper yesterday is ridiculous.
