Shore MOTM
Willie Brown - touch of class in an otherwise sh7te team performance
Too many boys walkng around with their heads up their holes since we guaranteed the play-offs - commitment to the team is f**king shocking at the minute.
We had a bit of a discussion on the way back -
St Comgalls Centre Back got injured - he went into nets and the keeper played out - 10 minutes later the injured player got subbed and the keeper went back into nets - they then made 2 further subs later in the match - now i didnt think there was anything wrong with it, but a few of our boys, and the more senior ones at that think that technically St Comgalls made 5 substitions as changing a keeper counts as a substition. Now this isnt to get a protest or any of that sh7t, St Comgalls beat us good an proper, was just wondering for my own future reference what the ruling is.......

Donko are you on drugs?
Our centre back going into goals is no different than our striker going to play at centre back, which has happened a few times this season. f**k me mate. Thats just silly.

And it was the more senior ones came up with this? Hope the young lads were in a different car as we don't want another generation not knowing the rules. What did you think when we made another sub replacing our centre back with a left back and subsequently moved our left back to left midfield, our left midfield to right back and our right back to centre back. Sh*t. Thats 9 subs they've made now!

Actually the more I think about this the more pathetic that sounds Donko, and I will put it down to the aftermath of the game were you got hammered, to the point I even scored against you's ;D, and 1 of your players was going to "get into" another one of his own team mates towards the end (and I heard that being said myself because they were slabbering to each other right in front of me ) and bascially putting it down to a bad day at the office . One of your senior players thought we made 5 subs? who was this the drunk man you had shouting on the sideline? What a statement. Just to clarify what happened. Our centre back - Dale Kelly felt his hamstring going and when the ball went out of play he swapped postions with our goal keeper. (Dale did nets for us in our Semi final win against 7 towers) and our keeper went to right back. No players entered or left the field. About 10 mins later after a few kicks he still felt his hamstring tighten so decided to be subbed and our original goal keeper went back into goals. How the f**k than can be classsed as 3 subs is beyond me Donko.

Sean I think his name was.

Donko, for your future reference this is the ruling your looking for: Changing the GoalkeeperAny of the other players may change places with the goalkeeper, provided that: • the referee is informed before the change is made • the change is made during a stoppage in the match As you can see from the above rules there is no mention of this counting as a substitute being used. I hope that puts your mind at ease.

That win against you's last night guaranteed us our place in the playoffs too and as it stands there's an outside chance we could be facing you in the semi final.... It all depends on other results.

This is the first time I have read this thread as I have been unable to be at matches or get online for a week. Our manager was wondering about a rule that he didnt quite know maybe he should have but I dont think he deserved the stick.
As for our team we have took our foot off the gas since we secured our play-off place I just hope we can find the confidence now to get back to playing the way we can. As far as this result is concerned its a terrible result for us (no disrespect to St. Comgalls) but we know we can beat them so lets get our own back if we meet in the play-offs. Good luck to St. Comgalls in the play-offs and if we meet them im sure the best team will win on the day.
