We struggled to even get a team out today - a load of boys away on a stag do and other having to work - I played 90 minutes for the first time in 5 years, thats how much we struggled - had to draft big tommy in for first game in 7 months too and had no recognised forwards
Didnt help when big Shane went off injured after 10 minutes meaning we had to play 80 minutes with 10 men, no subs and only about 2 players who could be desribed as match fit
5-0 down at half-time we just had to work hard and keep it from being a cricket score.
I find it hard enough to run on a flat surface - those hills on the clough pitch really f**ked me over

Well done lads for fulfilling this fixture and giving it a go first time in three seasons I have seen Shore not able to field a full squad.

i'm under no illusions that wasn't anywhere near Shore's strongest team but, they still had to be beaten. good luck shore in the playoffs.
Hope we join you'se though we need a minor miracle.

Think if Clough managed to get into play offs they could be dangerous. They seem to be the team in form at the minute and it's a good time of season to hit a bit of form. Nobody likes getting beat and to be drilled 7 is a bit embarrasing but I hear we had 4 first team players that started and to lose one of our main players after 10 mins didn't help. I wouldn't read too much into this result and in the play-offs anything could happen, we are happy enough to be in this position and can guarantee that if we are beaten in play-offs it will not be by a big margin.

We are struggling to get a decent team together for the match with Shore on Wed - injuries from the SF last midweek. Bet they are all fit for the final. Is it Connor you play on Wed?

Yeah Bap.
Couldn't ask for a much tougher game at this stage of the season.

I hope my last post didnt sound bad against Clough Harty it was never meant to sound like that. Clough always give us a game and are a very tough team to beat even with a full team.
My last post was just to let the lads know that we fulfilled a fixture that was tough for us to get a team. I know lots of teams that would have called it off so think we deserved credit for that.
Good luck on Wednesday night lads hopefully we get back to winning ways against St. Comgalls
