The left winger is Peter Scullion.
Most of our boys now live in Belfast and about half our squad have got married and had kids since we started. Getting a team out has been difficult all season and with no "real" manager then it was being left to one or two of our players to ring round every week to get 11 guys out.

Is that confirmation of the team folding then?! Never nice to see a team fold!

Looks highly likely at the minute anyway. Will be confirmed or not at the end of season meeting which we don't have a date for. Struggled after getting promoted we lost players instead of gaining players. The critical one we lost was our keeper and never replaced him and have played with different keeper from week to week and also with a make shift outfield most games. We also lost a few players due to family committments and the others were not as reliable as they were in years gone by.
It's sad to see us folding but trying to run a club that doesn't have players is like pissing into the wind.

Any chance of a Westend Blackstone derby before you fold?

Na i think we will leave our head to head from last season as it is, won 2 drew 1 No point we don't have a keeper and its the most important position in this league.

....Lads, very sorry to hear this. Both times we played Blackstone this season they put up a good fight and we were very lucky to escape Wakehurst with three points in our last meeting.
Totally agree with etk, if the players aren't available then how can you expect to play. I know almost all teams experience struggling for numbers at the end of the season when the midweeks kick in and injuries take their tole. It's very frustrating and hard to grind out results for any of us but to have such a problem all season long must be really disheartening. On that note credit must go to all assossiated with Blackstone for continuing on this long and turning out some great results over the course. I think they managed to beat/draw with Connor as well as almost taking points from ourselves.
Hope you get a few players and keep the club going. Best of Luck!!!!!!

Sad if it happens. Seemed a good bunch of lads. I have said many times that "Scully" as I heard him being called could play for any team in the first and second. (I think our gaffer actually was tempted to ask him to join us after our home meeting with them). I also wish your keeper had stayed from last season, as the stand in bust Clarkeys leg.

Would be disappointing if you folded must admit. Like a few others have said its never good losing any team to real life reasons! Sure if any of you are going to be about a belfast pub for the fa cup final we'll pop along and see about taking a few of your players to help our squad

Don't know what i'm at for next year squiggs, going to have a think about it over the summer. Spoke to the Waveney manager (sound guy) and i was saying i may be interested giving it a go with them. As i say i don't know what i am at, may jack it completley.
Who was your manager last season and congrats on winning the league.

Willy Cameron was manager this year after bolan quit in october. hopefully willy will stay next year and play for us too!
Still would need to add 3 or 4 players next season as we lost a few as the season went on and were down to the bones at times towards the end of the season!

whether or not you are thinking of folding I would take some consolation in the fact that while you most definetely have been awful this year and done nothing but whinge and moan about referees being on the other teams side you will be playing in the same league as Demense next year so atleast you should get atleast 6 points in the 3rd..lol

I know both Michelin and Broadway were lucky to get a couple of wins over them and Im sure theres a few other teams too who got it tight against them. Anyway Demense have been whipping a couple teams recently
