Beat 2-1 by 1 of the top teams in the bsml.
We fought for every ball and I think the homers lads will tell you they were in a game alright
Rested a few lads yesterday and basically a brand new midfield with Sam and doc getting full debuts for us...both were bloody excellant and 2 quailty signings, both havent played much football lately and I thought they were immense.
Got off to a good start with Bobby running down the wing and drifting a cross in that Sean got his head to and it looked as if it was just going to loop in but Ricky saved. Then the homers took control of the game tho never really putting us under the big P as the back 4 were doing a brilliant job of holding off Chimpy and Rainey. Homers had goal disallowed for offside then 10 mins later John Mcdowell connected with a corner and his header beat Greg. We rallied and showed great bottle and shoulda leveled when bobby passed rather than took the shot with only the keeper to beat. Second half and it was nip and tuck but then from a corner we allowed Sooty to have too much time on our 18 and he hit a lovely shot into the top corner making it 2-0. Mark Graham wa sintroduced and he tortured their back 4 for the 30 mins he was on and he won us a penalty with a brilliant run into the homers box and el capitano John Graham slotted in the pen. Bobby then was brought down in the box 5 mins later but the ref this time decided that 1 pen was enough for us and he waved play on when it was a more blatant pen than the first.
All in all a bloody brilliant performance from us and well done lads you showed yesterday what your made of...
Big game tomorrow night now in the league against Inver and we must get our heads right for it.
