And IF Carniny have been thrown out it certainly isn't Broadway's fault. I can assure you that Dobby is a good enough manager, as his record shows, without letting anyone at Broadway pick his team and field illegal palyers in any tournament. Broadway had nothing to do with Carniny team selection and therefore aren't to blame in any wrongdoing!!!

i think its quite pathetic that carniny break the rules, get into trouble and if what is said is true that they have lost there place in both cups due to playin an unregistered player that some narrow minded prick tries to bring sectarianism into it!!!!  why cant carniny just hold there hands up, admit they made a mistake and quit tryin to find others to blame!! as fish said nobody at broadway picked carninys team!! we were just interested cos it was us that les had played for before goin back to carniny!! and as was pointed out apparently it was dobbie that brought it up with the ifa!! that was nothin to do with broadway either!! so how was it our fault exactly?? its a blow for carniny but there a good enough side and im sure they will be fightin hard again next year!!! |

Lol from a neutral side, to be honest it's quite laughable that anyone would blame broadway for carniny getting through out...you break rules u get punished end of story.
And yes I agree above, carniny will be just as good next year and will try even harder to win the junior competitions:)

....don't bite Farmerface, it's only a wind up sure as no one would possibly be stupid enough to blame Broadway for Carniny's fault in the two competitions.
These same people who will try and accuse Broadway of sectarianism are the same people who seen and said nothing in folk trying to get Dunloy in trouble in what they seen as Dunloy FC cheating (individual players letting the club down not the Club doing wrong themselves!!!) but when Carniny, for whatever reason, play an illegal player in a tournament it's obviously a mistake and we're to blame for political reasons for causing their mistake to be unearthed. The evidence suggests those same people could themselves fall victim to the pointed finger of sectarianism with their selective opinions......
For the record I'm not talking about all people who support Carniny (from any clubs) in this situation, only those who (and there are only few thus far) will try to portray that anyone at Broadway Celtic caused a stir because they were sectarian. Absolute RUBBISH!!!!!
But like I say Farmbhoy, don't bite....lol

I think the usage of the word 'sectarian' is very strong and condeming against the broadway lads...not for one minute would i think broadway would have any influence on carniny's expulsion, know a few of their player's and they're good lads...isnt les mates with a squad of them anyhow |

.....Myself and Les would be very close (maybe not now as he maybe blames some of us too??) and I actually thought this was all a wind up at the beginning. I really wouldn't have thought Dobby, as someone said on the initial thread about it (Harty??), would have failed to "dot all x's and crosses" before playing in the competitions.
It certainly isn't the blame of Broadway and yes MartinTyler you're correct, a lot of the Broadway lads (if not all) are close with Les. I for one hope that will always be the case!!!

to be fair lads, i genuinely believe carniny made a mistake, i really do...i think what has happened could have happened to any team IMO. some guys are sympathetic some arent but what has happened i believe is OTT...i think the punishment is abit too severe. carniny has always been a name that has played by the rules. very sad to hear they have been expelled as i have said before i believed they could have won a junior competition this season. im sure many of their players wouldnt take comfort right now by saying they will come back stronger next year but i hope they do! i believe they have an appeal and hope the ifa have a change of heart!
