1st game for the swifts

I must say it was great to get mt 1st game under my belt yesterday,apart from the result i fought that we play really well in parts off the game,in my eyes there wont be many harder games than dunloy who are a great footballin outfit.....once me and gareth get a few games under are belt i think we will be spot on....one last think i must say it was good to play a full 90 mins with no bitchin between team mates and wat i have seen off the squad so far there is a brilliant team spirit so heres to makin the playoffs boys

You and Gareth had great games yesterday seeing as you both havent played in something like 2 months so to get 90 mins under your belt was a big bonus. I think once you get used to playing in there with Phil you 2 will be hard to break down.

Hard game for John and myself to start and play with a new team in, but I must say, the lads made us feel part of the team straight away and as Stan and JK say, with a few more games we can only get better.

Thought Phil was super yesterday as well as Weasel. Dunloy are a great tean though, and will do well if they keep the same team / squad. Very hard to break down and played some very good football. As I said yesterday, they are a top 4/5 team in the first Div.

As the lads have said, its a learning curve, and we can only learn from it!! (Plus, lets hope we dont get that Ref again!! And thats for Dunloy as well, as he was consistently bad!!! lol)

a top 4/5 1st division team! They are a good team, but lets not get carried away here, yesterday was a bad day for Lisnafillan, I know they can play better than that, Ive seen it happen. Apart from John Kirk who really gave it their all?

pele10's crossing and shooting was sweet, which points to maybe a right wing role instead of his role at right back yesterday , his defending was shocking, that tall fella with the beard had him all day, pele10 was definately not as fit as he should off been

To say that somebody is unfit is just downright cheeky. Gareth hadnt played a lot of football for a few months and he got 90mins on saturday and I was impressed with what I saw. Just because he didnt have the blistering pace that Rab obviously has then does that make him unfit. Wise up sham.

harsh words Rab, boarding on out of line. Pele 10's 1st game in about 2 or 3 months with only a couple nights training behind him, cant judge him on that. Hes been around the BSML, especially in the top 2 divisions for a good few years and once he gets a few games under his belt he will be a cracking signing for them.

You dont have to be ignorant to tell the truth Rab! I know that I am unfit, thats what 2/3 months without training and Christmas (too much turkey and beer) will do to ya. The big man I was marking was awesome and to come back in after a few months out I think I done as good a job as I could.

As I said on here yesterday, after a few more games (and a good bit of training) my fitness will come back and hopefully I can prove myself as I have done before in the BSML.

Opinions are what keeps these forums going, and of course, telling the truth, but coming up to a match to watch your former team, probably being all "sweet" on the sideline then coming on these forums and putting people down is a bit of a joke like. Respect costs nothing mate.

I said pele10s shooting and crossing was sweet but his defending was shocking pointing to a role in midfield rather than defence, I don't know what position he normally plays and he looked unfit, well away and get the rope til I hang myself here. You guys are too sensitive, you are like a bunch of old woman getting all worked up over absolutely nothing, you seem to have some unwritten code that you all abide by where you talk about the match that just happened but you abide by these unwritten rules and don't really talk about the match that's just happened! That is seriously weird and I'd say, woman like, because I don't understand them either.
As for going elsewhere to talk about BSML, the beauty of this message board is it's public and democratic nature, if this section was just for Lisnafillan players etc then you'd have a password to get in, you already have a messageboards of your own elsewhere, and I wouldn't have the password, but this messageboardis not like that. it's free and open to everyone. What you are trying to do amounts to repression, it is a regime in here, it goes against everything that this wonderful forum was set up to do.
The beauty of this society that we live in is that I can turn up at any BSML match and watch it, it is free, open and public, no one can take that away.

I put it down to there being severe differences Between you guys and myself where I think I can talk about something and you guys think it's crossed a line you yourselves have drawn. FFS wise up big lad. Its a forum, and people are going to defend their own opinions and beliefs (just like yourself). Its all for a bit of craic and banter at the end of the day, and is what the majority of the comments on here are subject of.

Talking about repression and regimes etc etc is just f**ing patronizing and to tell you the truth, quite pedantic IMO.

Firstly Rab, yes that day we played use i was terrible, im the first to admit it. But big deal, everyone can have an off day. I hope to play you again sometime soon to give a better account of myself, secondly i honestly dont see how you can be in a position to question me, quick history lesson, iv played in the first division of the irish league with Ballymoney United, iv played in the ballymena premier league for a few years and iv also won various cups with Dunloy FC over the years, iv also captained them, iv scored 14 goals this season in 12 games from left midfield, and in all honestly soccer is my second sport behind gaelic, what exactly have you done could you tell me? I think before you come on here and start insulting players about their fitness levels etc you should maybe take a look at yourself first.
