A,azing to see tho that Westends bit was so quiet up until you got the result in dunloy which was a brilliant result and i see you got your first writeup in the papers for that result so it really must have meant the world to you...
I wanted Rab to stay but he chose to go to Westend so no point holding onto a player if he doesnt want to be there. If rabs a big enough man he'l tell you I wanted him to stay, tho im really happy with the lads who are at the club now and I wouldnt change them for the world tbh.
Ive never once came on here and slagged off Westend so why not go to the westend section of the forum where you are obviously a regular contributor with all your 7 posts and let us wee swifts be.
Amazing how many Westenders there are on here since that result in Dunloy I think you basically trebled your members here so thats good for the few of you.

Monty came to Westend and requested we start writing a column for the paper every week. He said he wanted more exposure of the clubs nearer the top end of the league. We are sorry for steeling your column inches, though they are a very enjoyable read even if I do say so. And no, before you ask, I didnt write that last one I see you had a photographer at Lisnfillan v woodside last week, he got a nice shot of weasel and young davis. Do you arrange for a photographer to come and take shots at the matches stan? |

Your wrong bout the core setup Rab as it was and never really will be the best 15 at the club. It was introduced so that it wasnt going to cost me any money to run the club something which it had done the previous season when you were making a few appearances for us.
I brought the idea in because many many weeks and Paul McManus will tell you the same there was too many lads not bringing their £2 to matches and it was left to me to pay for refs, training and matches and having been totally pissed off bout the way things were being done I changed the set up of the club.
It never was for the best 15 it was for the 15 players who turned up to training and then I would do the decent thing and play them the next match which is something I have done all season. If you trained you got into the 15 and I took it from there. Last season too many lads couldnt be bothered training and it wasnt fair on the 1's who did.
It was good you got a game against Dunloy cause I know you had been dropped at Westend cause your form had dropped a little and they had faith in you and gave you a game. Westend have scored 60 goals this season which is great, how many have you chipped in with Rab? as a forward playing in a team where goals are no problem your hopefully getting your fair share.
I wont and never will run after any player at the club, if they arent happy then theres no point in keeping them there.
This year was total rebuilding at the club and I am really happy with the way things are going and to try and change a team with 6 new players and hope that they bed in was always going to take time. Getting the same team 2 games in a row has been tough tho lol with lads having work commitments and family commitments.
As a club we now look to 2010 and making sure we stay in the playoff places which will be tough enough.

You didnt steal any column inches off me Rab I was merely saying that Westend hadnt many reports in the paper up until you beat Dunloy then all of a sudden theres a report and a few new members on the forum... thick or thin Rab Il be on here giving my views and stating it like it is not just when the goings good cause I wouldnt be on here much if I was relying on being here when it was going good lol we dont have many good days.

I bet you have it arranged before the game, get them to take a snap of the best player in training that week It amazing how many times that photographer goes to Lisnafillan games |

Rabs form hadn't dipped, David "Goal Machine" Currie came back in, Rab responded in training and earned himself a game against Dunloy. Just because you were already handing Dunloy the league doesn't mean that we are creaming ourselves over the result out there, we already beat them this season. I think if you remember you tried to provoke it by your original comment "Dunloy v Westend, Discuss". I am sure you were hoping to see lil ol Westend get humped, after endorsing Dunloy. The Westend forum members simply responded to the sh1t that was being aimed at them from Danaldo etc. Think you should spit them sour grapes out and give credit where its due. Don't start a thread and moan when people respond to it.

Can I just add that Rab is the sort of player that every club dreams of having. Not only a good player but a decent guy and works hard at training. Never moans when he's not in the starting 11 and when he plays he gives 100% and contributed greatly at Dunloy, considering he hadn't been playing regularly I think that shows just how good he is and how hard he has worked in training. I think thats down to how he has been treated by everyone else at the club, felt accepted and valued.

or you could just shut your mouth and stop rabbiting on because, in all honesty, no one cares!! i only knew rab for a wee while and was sad to see him leave the club. As he's said things wernt working out and he decided to leave. what strikes me as ben a bit off is that he left the swifts as he wasnt guaranteed a starting place, and yet he isnt getting that at westend is he?? no harm to rab, hes a good guy and definately a good footballer, but its hardly like Figo signing for Madrid is it!!! Give it a rest.....
