Cujo is still at the club and doing well, he was subject to a horror tackle in pre-season and has been hurt ever since which is unfortunate for him as there is competition this season for starting places.
As to being off to a flyer Chopper we are doing ok and Im still disappointed to have dropped points against Cullybackey the other week but no point dwelling on it and got to look forward. We need to just keep playing the football that we have been playing and hopefully we keep getting the odd win or 3.
New lads doing really well at the wee club and I think and hope that they are enjoying their football and I will do everything I can to make sure our spirits are high. Ive actually turned away a couple of really good players over the last 2 weeks and I have full faith in the 15 that turn up every week, something not many other clubs can get.
To show the strenght of our squad I rested Square, Russell, Bobby, Trevor our club captain and Kirk and we still beat a 1st Division side which makes me even prouder of the result. We fully deserved that win on Saturday and there was nothing lucky about it, it was a combination of a really good pre-season training programme and having a squad of lads there who want to do EVERYTHING I ask of them which is so pleasing it makes my life easier.
We need to keep the momentum going now and not get above our station..we are a 3rd division team and we are gona fight and work for every point we get this season.
I always tell the lads that I work full-time, I have a family and a wee girl of 20 months and if I can give the club 100% then I want my players to give the club the same and this season so far the lads have been brilliant. We play football and we have a laugh at each other and thats what its all about...I want them to enjoy the game after all with out them there is no club.
The new lads have settled in really quick and we all get on theres no clicks and we win together and lose together.
Im not going to make any bold statements of where we will finish in the league but this season the club is looking really good both on and off the pitch. We have introduced a new system for dues which helps both the players and benefits the club and all being well at the end of the season we will be able to give the lads a free dinner and prize night from club dues amd we should still have enough left over to go into next season with a good bank balance. This year we secured a really good sponsorship deal and if we get promoted they will give us a cash bonus, new kits for next season and provide us with Tracksuits and boots for every player.
The result at the weekend got everyone talking about the wee club and its now up to us as a collective unit to make sure we build on this. We are a work in progress and it wont happen over night but the foundations are there.
Sorry to go on but as Bremner said I wear my heart on my sleeve and I like keeping everyone informed of whats happening at the swifts.

fish my cod friend u have ur facts wrong, i played in most of the games from jan onwards
barry mcardle i think started every game last year, certainly for us 2 it was a case of wanting a change.
i missed your stirring fish flaps while u werent allowed on this

Yeah shaping up into a good wee division this season and if teams keep beating each other then come next April/May for the midweeks we might actually have something to play for this season lol. Westend ticking along nicely and Dunloy thumped Wakehurst today with both teams missing a few players but in all honesty it could have been double figures for Dunloy.
