What is your favorite sweet? ;D I know this is some what random, but hey! it beats jokers nonsense. Now cat your not allowed to say all of them! At school, and if they were out now i loved the Post man Pat strawberry Milkshake flavoured chew, but they dont make them any more. I loved the Cola whoppa chews and the old favourite - fruit salads, but what i have to say now is top of the list is Sports mixture, especially now the y got rid of the stinking licourice black one and changed it to blackcurrant. Midget gems arent to dusty either. Can you still get floral gums? i remeber they were like eating gums that tasted like cheap perfume.

Wine gums or fizzy cola bottles for me. And also those rhubarb and custard ones. Top stuff. Anyone ever been to the sweet shop on Newcastle's main street? It's got hundreds of those sweetie jars with all the old favourites.

So what your saying is that a quarter (of a pound) a few years ago, weigh more than a quarter of a pound now. Tell me then what weighs more - a ton of bricks of a ton of feathers? ;D ;D

I think what the fishter meant was a quarter of appletarts will cost you more per quarter now than they did 10 yrs ago.
this would be down to inflation rates, bank of interest charges on manufactures, general increased cost of core materials and of course greedy profit making cornr shop owners, add to this the cheap immatation versions of so many sweets readily available on the market. hopefully that covers that.
butter balls...........oh i say....................
