hope so pele!! imo carniny are miles ahead of everyone and will have league won by christmas at the rate they are going, abbeyview and northend both looking strong and will be in top 4, all saints havent had a good of start as they would have liked and homers def dont look as strong as previous years.

I think there is about 6-7 teams aiming for the 3 spots left in the top 4. Ourselves, North End are probably the form teams at the min but you still have the likes of the sky blues, glenarm, hollywell, cloughmills and you can never count out harryville and all saints.

need to get a few players back playing shortly or we could find ourselves sliding down the table, poor performance on sat even though we had 6 players that would start every week injured/working.guys coming in just not doing enough imo

I think all teams have to miss a few players from time to time. We had Victor, Milly, Mousey, Davy Moore and Cliff missing on Saturday against you. To be honest all would probably have started if available. It's teams that have a reasonable quality squad and fewest injured/working through the season, that will be pushing for the top places.

would agree there, it will be the teams with the strongest squad pushing for top four, think thats why harryville are calling off there big games, in the hope to get players back in as there squad isnt good enough at the min. as for sat yous were better team hands down and fully deserved win, good footballing side.we were just so understrength, a draw would have been great result but lets hope we have full team when we play at home and maybe give yous a better game!

good result today in cup, wavney were very dirty side which isnt norm for them!your man jay? and your left back just looking to kick players?ref was bad!! give them 2 pens that never were, one a dive and the other outside box but a win is a win and missing 4/5 still, but on to next roud

A dirty team? Fukin wise up!! Ur big no7 was and always has been an animal!!! The ref was bad def, but so were we!!! First half I don't think we showed up, but second half we battled hard!!! Jay is not a dirty player, very hard tackler but not dirty!! U boys were throwing in some meaty challenges and getting away with them the whole game so don't "tar" us with the " dirty team brush"!!
You'se played well and deserved the win, so don't bitch about a few tackles!!

to be fair, we have played yous loads of times and yous have not been a dirty team but yesterday jay and your left back were off the pace and getting tortured and all they could do was take players out!i dont rem any dirty tackles from us.

Post by pele10 on Sept 27, 2009 10:15:44 GMT
naw, you wouldnt remember any dirty tackles though! I dont think you can call us a dirty team from a few challenges, thats not very fair. There were meaty tackles from both teams. As i said, your no7 was putting himself about a bit and was also getting involved with our sideline a few times -- as well as your keeper (as he does every time he plays against us).
Im not going to go into details of tackles. As i said you deserved the win, but im just a bit pissed that you are mentioning that we are a dirty team, as I do not think we are.

yes deserved the win, worst wavney side we have played to date. like i said yous were not norm dirty but def the dirtiest team we have played so far this season. good luck in the league

Worst waveney side to date!? I hardly think so when you'se humped us 5 or 6 a few years back, but we were missing 3/4 first team players.
I cant fathom where you get this 'dirtiest team' thing -- i think that it was a tough match, and both teams were throwing some meaty challenges in, so dont be putting the blame on us!!
There was also some late challenges from both teams, which the Ref missed, to the frustration of both sidelines.
The wee lad you'se have up front is a good wee player, very quick and good with the ball at his feet - def one to watch for the future.
Anyways, Good luck in the cup - you'se should be in and around there.

def taking it bad pele10 ;D, we will agree to disagree! young paul is a great player, very skillfull, will do alot of teams harm if they dont try and break him and the ref gives him a bit of protection! we had few starters missing too.

Carnlough players were spat on and their cars were kicked, etc. To be fair I dont think any of the "protestors had anything to do with Glenarm Rovers.

glenarm got a bit of stick and hassle last season out at carnlough (which we all took well and didnt complain about)and it seems a few lads (not involved with the team) put it on face book around larne and about 100 pepole turned up!!
it was a joke like. all we were ther for was the football.the police were there from the start too.
