I wouldn't be surprised if a few matches are called off this week. Feel free to post them up.

Good chance of rain for most of the week it seems. If it's like yesterday, I would question matches being on at Wakehurst and places like that. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Sure if one of the waterboys down at Wakehurst spills a drop of the water the place is near flooded. Doesn't take much for that!!! ;D ;D

FC Moylena v Harryville Homers CALLED OFF Homers couldn't field a team! Youse get points? they should od in my opinion, if ye cant field a team tough luck. being allowed to call a game off for this reason makes the league look 'mickey mouse' IMO.

No points. Just the chance to play the game again when they have a full squad available.

Probably not but surely its the same principle?! The Homers haven't been able to field a team and Moylena have been good enough to call it off for them...its the same as All Saints asking a team to call the game off for them when they struggle to get players due to Gaelic commitments?! Maybe i'm wrong but its just my opinion!

Haha no thats not the point i'm making, and well you know it! I'm not sticking up for them, because it definitely is a bit of a joke that they can't field a team, but i'm just saying its pretty much the same thing.

we have down the years..
but as you can tell from my previous points, i dont think the 'rule' should exist..im not a fan of it..if push came to shove, we would field a team.
we can always get a side out, played a semi final of the top four last season against carniny with a full team watching, got tanked.. but we put a team out.

Full of gays IMO but still wouldn't shy away from a game just because they're struggling, to their credit!!! LOL

Have to agree with norty on this one. All Saints got a hell of a lot of games called off last season because teams agreed to help them out. Im sure had Moylena not agreed to call the game off the homers would have had to field a team and probably would have, if a teams happy to help you out then thats their perogaitive.

Very true.
Moylena must be commended for being so sporting, as they know the chances are they will face a full strength Homers team later in the season.
I suppose one good turn deserves another and Moylena could find themselves in the same boat at some point.

i agree, wht im trying to say is, there shouldnt even be the option of getting a game called off..
if that was the case, i bet homers would have got 11 out last night..

i dont think there should be the option either, unless the club has requested at the meeting before the fixtures are made, that they need a certain date free then it shouldnt happen. and the league should only allow it in extreme cases like say a stag do, when a team has 5 or 6 players away.
maybe someone should propose something at the next meeting??

It was a cup game. Just thought I would point that out.
