Good start to the season for the Westers, lookin much more solid at the back. The back five collectively had a great game. In the first half the midfield and front 2 left a lot to be desired but as bad as they were in the first half i think they were good in the second. Width on both sides puttin blackstone under pressure and the goals finally came.
Currie popped up with 2 quality goals to give us the win but not without the odd scare at the end when brian miller hit the cross bar for the blackstone.
For the first game of the season the game was played at a frantic pace and would have been a good advertisement for 3rd div football. Blackstone have definately made strides from last year.
All in all good game to start the year and even better to get three points.

Well done lads, it was a throughly enjoyable game to watch!! Star men had to be currie and mclroy!! Greer done very well in the sticks aswell!! Keep it up for the rest of the season lads!!

Really enjoyed the game last night lads, both teams where well up for it and there was some quality football played by both sides - with Currie taking both his goals well. As a Blackstone player i have to say i thought we deserved something out of the game - video replay for Millers strike off the bar!! But a wins a win so well done and good luck for the rest of the season. Looking forward to playing you at home!!

Well played last night lads.
Can honestly say i was gutted not to take at least a point from the match.
Was a fantastic game of football evidenced by the fact that all spectators said it was a super game to watch.
