At the AGM of the Carnlough Football Management and Development Group, it was decided that Glencloy Swifts and Carnlough Utd should merge to form one club. The CFMDG was dissolved and a new committee was elected to represent the new club. A large majority of those present voted to call the new team Carnlough Swifts. It was decided that the first team would play in Division 1 BSML and the second team would play in the Ballymena and Provincial League. Carnlough Youth teams have also joined the set up and will now be known as Carnlough Swifts.

I am assuming that is why you have been quite cute and called yourselves I and II so that players can play in both leagues?

Any chance this "all singing and dancing super commiitte" can get those showers fixed in those changing rooms? I know you Carnlough folk arent keen on washing but some of us are.

Lawnmowerman i think u will find 2 of ur guys who airlocked the showers, unknowingly. It happens. They were working fine previovs to this. How anyone could claim that ball wasnt over the line is beyond me.was funny though. And finally....after the goal that wasnt incident u were chucked up front out of the road - talk us through your open net miss from 0.0003 yards lol

The ball wasnt over the line. No were near it. Anyway, how anyone could tell were the line actually was in that field is beyond me.
I didnt go up front. Are you sure you arent mixing me up with Fergie?
Our right winger was f**ked and asked to do right back so I was than happy to oblige.
As for the open net? Well the ball was actually over the byline when I swung my leg at it. There was never a chance in hell it was going in unless it went through the side netting rather than hit the post. (and that wouldnt be the first time thats happend for us and counted) ;D

I am assuming that is why you have been quite cute and called yourselves I and II so that players can play in both leagues? Yes Mr Bean. That was one of the reasons but by no means the only one. It makes sense financially for fundraising purposes for both clubs to merge. It also gives the manager a stronger pool of players to choose from. The seconds will be used to bleed younger players and give a game to veterans who may wish to pull the boots on again. (I dont mean myself)

Although with the 2 teams combined it means more players to whinge at each other. ;D
