Training starting tonight, not looking forward to it as i'm still suffering from Saturdays trip to Stranraer ;D Think we've been able to keep together most of the squad from last season and HOPEFULLY theres another 6 signing tonight. 3 of them played a few games last season and i hope they've been convinced to sign again, and a reliable source has told me that they all will sign

Whos the new signings then lads? Is Ally McIlroy with ye full time this year? He is indeed Mitty, brilliant signing for us i think. Also got Mervyn, Jamie White, Darren Trainor and Sammy McVicker all on forms for next season which is great news. Looking forward to the start of the season now!

"Yes please mate " ;D Interesting developments last night. There will no longer be a Connor afternoon team as from next season which sees Hugh Campbell take over us, (Connor Rangers) with Geoff being "installed" as assistant manager. I'd say theres about 7 or 8 players too joining from the afternoon team which adds to a squad that won promotion last year and theres going to be one hell of a fight for places in the team. Although I think most of them are all midfielders and forwards...so your alright Norton

Does that mean you boys will be playing on the 'afternoon' teams pitch?...if so, that will be a cracking set-up for you!

I assume so yes, which I suppose must be taken as a positive. Stop a lot of excuses from other teams when we beat them now

Who is it we're actually playing?! i don't think geoff knows either haha. We've only had a couple of nights training (1 for me, with oxegen in the middle lol) so fitness could be short, but can't wait to get going again!
With the afternoon team folding its given us the opportunity to add 6 or 7 quality players to the squad we already had from last season. Of course it'll mean a lot more competition for places, but thats what its all about! Plus the fact we're getting to play on a great pitch every home game, instead of the one up the road, i'm really looking forward to the start of the season!

Great run out for us last night. Our first real game together, although most have played together before, and thought we clicked really well straight away and some of the pass and moce football we played was brilliant.
Its only a pre season friendly though so we'll not read too much into it and lets just hope we can repeat it on Monday night when it really counts!

Most of those boys have been playing together for years! And it shows. You's were brilliant. As you say it was only a friendly and you's musn't get complacent but it'll send out a hell of a message. Think you's will put a big big challenge to win the Second Divsion and I'll be very shocked if you's don't win it. " You's " It still doesn't feel right I'm shocked to see you on so early Norty. I thought you'd still be feeling the affects of last night...the partying not the 90 minutes of football
