A solid performance from the westenders resulting in a good win over the now struggling Templepatrick ;D Goals from David Currie and Marcus Hanford in the first half sealed the points for the away team. TFC playing there usual route one football had chances but failed to put the ball in the onion bag due to some fine saves from Stevie Greer (MOTM in my opinion). Things turned sour for TFC in the second half with one player getting sent off for a second yellow, and even our old mucker Pugford got booked for falling out with a westend player on the sidelines (haha quality ;D ) All round good performance from WAFC to further cement our position in the playoffs, but after a 3rd sucessive defeat in a row for Templepatrick has it all went pete tong???!!!

Yes indeed. A very silly booking for me. Probably one I will live to regret, as it may be my 5th which means a ban. Pure frustration on my part. I agree with the route one football for last night. But that is not how we play. What you seen last night was a team playing panic football. We know we are a better team than we're showing, and its now got to the point wer we know we need to get back to winning ways. Thing is though, the football we were playing when we were winning isn't the same as what wer doin at the minute. I'm the first to admit it was the long ball, which totally frustrates me. Having said that we had a much better second half. Me excluded. Waveney away on wednesday night. A dead leg here, and a couple of suspensions there. Things are looking up But dont you boys kid yourselves. Yous aren't a great side.

But dont you boys kid yourselves. Yous aren't a great side. What does that make the TFC then? We played well for the first ten minutes, bit like the WAFC of old- could have scored 4 at least but the two was enough. The remainder of our performance wasn't great but it was effective. Anyway- 3 points was the aim.

I havent played in a while and in the back of head i was expecting a bit of football bn played, but there was absolutely none we were purely and utterly s**te!! theres no point in hiding fron the truth not one of r players was any use whatsoever, an embarassment to any TFC side.
Now dont get me wrong we should have scored through numerous crosses n ur keeper pulled off a few great saves but to be fair u boys deserved to win. But dont take me sayin you's deserved to win you's r also a pretty poor team nothin but hoofing the whole game, and not a bit of football the whole match,us included. apart from ur captain and the boy i think was called currie were 2 very handy players.
Now if u boys r bn honest u's will agree that this is a fair assessment of the game.

If u think im bn over critical by all means say 2 me, but im not sure whether it was because ive bn out 4 a while and was over expecting what the matche r like but from memory that was one if not the worst performance i have ever played in.
There was absolutely no heart, and lack of discipline came right back in to it with free kicks with 2 secs so the match was a start-stop game n absolutely no football, again im not claiming any innocence either i was a disgrace, my head dropped n got fed up throughout the game

I seriously can't remember anyone hoofing the ball, apart from clearances under pressure. I do however, remember some of our nice passing moves that led to currie's goal, post being hit, evan sitter being missed and numerous other half chances.
I can see that you'd say that we weren't great, but you'd have to ask yourself.... did we need to be?....

Good point arnie (whoever you are!). We should have had 4 in the first 20 mins then after that kinda settled down a bit and protected what we had, playing on the counter. I don't think we really needed to do much more and never felt our lead was under threat. I think the reason we didn't get to play as much footy as we would have liked is cause we were hacked down everytime we got the ball! Any wonder you's got a man sent off and several others booked

Arnie u cant b bn serious, yes we had numerous chances 2 n they werent from playing football they were mainly set pieces n the odd long ball. But Arnie how can u not c that u's also didnt play football, havin bn out 4 a while it lets u c just what a poor standard that was! id mates watchin that game n they said it was a shocking game with little football bn played including from u boys. Take the first 10 mins outta the game n tell me that u's played football?? Let me guess u's got ur goals n then sat back n absorbed the pressure?? thats pure bullsh1t, at least have a bit of common sense 2 say that the match was a hoofing game by both sides!!

To quote Pugford... "You're entitled to your opinion"
Living beside Wakehurst, means i've watched too many a Saturday morning league football match, and i'm only too aware the standard isn't great.
I'm not saying we were constantly playing super football, i'm saying that when we weren't getting hacked down we sought to play a decent short passing game. Unlike the opposition. It was short passing that created all of our chances and long balls or set pieces that created your best chances

westend played in 2nd gear!if tfc actually put the ball down and played football then we would of started playing.no players stood out apart from the hackers!overall easy three points for westend.

Well done TFC bit nerveous at the end when the third went in. But the guys held the head up and held on to the 3pts. Oh by the way the diving was a disgrace by Westend in the 2nd half. You should be disgraced lads. Trying to get players booked then sent off. Wind yer neck in lad - one incident from our left back which was more comical than anything else. There's no need from anyone to try to get some of your lads booked or sent of, seem to manage ok by themselves. Thought the game was played in a pretty spirit actually. That's apart from Templepatrick's no.4 who is generally just a prick? No memories of your guy walking on our no.8's thigh, arms and head when he was on the deck if you're trying to make a point then?

How many times did your number 3 fall over his own laces you Knobjockey.
The number 4 played a blinder at the back ( which is a pity cos he has took my place)
Between number 3 and that ginger (number 12 or 15) anker you must go back to basic training or just even try and make them tie their own boots proper. must ave been a slippy part of the pitch.
Of course your number 8 was put to the dogs cos he was a numbnut.
But you did play well and if you want i will tell you the score again 4-3.
Many thanks ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Yeah, the game was played in pretty decent spirit. Some hard tackles. Hard, but fair. In most cases anyway.
The wind helped us first half, and yous second half.
Pretty evenly balanced game. Though I think we just did enough to win it.
I have to say, I thought it was a draw after the game. Wasn't until I'd had a shower and was talkin in the changin room with a couple of our players when I realised.
Needless to say I was delighted ;D ;D
Decent game lads.
Cheers & Good Luck

Of course your number 8 was put to the dogs cos he was a numbnut. Hahahaha - I mean this pretty much says it all about some players of TFC!! Put to the dogs?? What are you talking about you 'jockey?? Not doing TFC any favours with ridiculous comments like that!! Anyway you's deserved the win I think, so that makes it 2-1 to WAFC

Very True. Did the exact same to us... Kicked us about played some good football and then really rubbed it in beating us.
Learn to win and keep quiet about it TFC. cos yous are a decent team without all the hassle yous carry along wit it!!!

These forums are sometimes bad as well as good.
I think the 'rubbing in' sometimes, not all times now, but sometimes is supposed to be taken as banter, and even when I read the stuff, I cringe ;D ;D
What I'm trying to say is it aint supposed to be taken seriously.
Although, sometimes its hard not to. I know that too

Waveney 7 go back and shave that ginger mess of a hair. We played you guys off the pitch that night Just because you cant hold your wee tongue for 2mins and get back into the game and do your damage from the pitch instead of pushing your handbag into someones face and getting sent off!!! You enjoying the time off your crap anyhow ;D ;D ;D ;D
