Well done to all at FC Moylena for winning the Rainey Cup. It is a team effort involving a lot of players (not all got the chance to play tonight but have all had their input in the overall cup run) and non playing staff.
Also it has to be mentioned the spirit showed by All Saints was incredible and they have to be commended for their effort with 10 men. They shouldn't have any problems with the sending off as Timmy C did call the ref a f@$king c**t. One thing for sure is they don't when they are beaten. Good luck for next year.
See you all at the club dinner where we can celebrate in style!!!!

Well done Stevie from all at Lisnafillan Swifts. It was certainly some game and ASOB played their part in a very entertaining game. Agree with you on Timmys sending off and it was the linesman he called the bad name to.

Great game for the neutral with plenty of goals. Have to agree with the previous comments in relation to All Saints when going down to 10 men...seriously thought they were going to force a 4-4 draw and head into extra time at a stage. None the less, a good performance from Moylena. Big Tommo was outstanding at the back and Milly was solid in midfield, great first goal may i add! Dont really know Timmy that well, but always comes across as a gentleman, so abit shocked he reacted that way...these things happen at times i suppose...think he knew that from his disappointment on the sideline!

Yoda, I knew Timmy well enough and it also surprised me. It's not like him at all but it was a big cup final and maybe the tension/occasion got the better of him. It's sad for him but if nothing else, they had an ample replacement in nets in BFP.
I didn't realise they lost in 3 finals this year which must be even more frustrating for them.

Indeed well done to Moylena, good reward for a long hard season. Obviously the sending off was the clincher for you's, Timmy was so wound up as it was his last game and wanted to sign off in style, can't have any complaints about the sending off though, he did call Leith a c**t. We have a bit of history with John Leith and thats the reason he lost it with him. Cant understand the league appointing him as a linesman in such a big game, because a couple of seasons ago we requested that he did not officiate anymore of our games. Plus to have a man so incompetent as Finlay as referee is completely baffling. What was wrong with Wah? He would have been the perfect man for the job.
On the penalty my immediate fear was that Timmy would be sent off as he was last man, i never for one second thought it was even close to a peno, then I saw that Finlay was going to Ask Leith, and I knew that he would award a peno, cos as Timmy says he is a c**t. After Timmy got sent off Leith then started waving his flag like someone on a happy bus, and Casey was booked. I thought Casey must have ganched to the ref, thought nothing of it til Sat morning when Monte told me Casey was lucky to stay on the pitch, cos Leith told him that he spat on him. Now Casey was inside the semi circle and Leith was on the sideline, obviously another blatant lie from Leith.
I then went into nets and again John Leith was in happy bus mode, waving the flag like a lunatic, told the referee i was off my line, so i retreated 2 inches back to the line!!!!!
After that it was tough for us and kept getting caught on the break, but thought we battled well, Leith still being a c**t, the throw in he gave to Moylena was scandalous, the Moylena player flicked it into Hudsys hand to take the throw, and the Moylena players all stepped back to get ready for us to take the throw, and again there was the retarded Leith pointing the flag for a Moylena throw in!!! Then to top it all off with 5 mins to go, a stone wall peno for us, when a Moylena midfielder put his hands up and stopped the ball with them in the box, Finlay was less than ten yards from it, yet he thought the best idea was to check with the window licker again, who was frantically pointing to his head to suggest that it came off his head, we asked Finlay why it wasnt a pen and he said the linesman didnt give it, which seems to suggest to me that Finlay must be travelling in the same happy bus as Leith.
I was speaking to Jim Devine on Sat and he was laughing at some of the decisions that was/was not given.
Am i a sore loser? Probably, but with officials like Finlay and John Leith putting in a performance that would win Britains got Talent for sheer comedic value, then I have every right to feel aggrieved. Though thats not to take anything away from Moylena, cos they put in a great performance all over the pitch and took all their chances well, and as said previously the win and a top 4 finish was a great reward for a long hard season.

Moylena took the lead with a left foot looping volley from 20 yards by Paul Milliken. Saints equalised from a back post header by Paddy from a corner. Mousey scored a pen from the 'much debated incident'.
Cliff wilson made it 3-1 at the back post from a long throw that wasn't dealt with by Saints defence. Saints pulled one back from close range after a good move the length of the pitch (from a Moylena throw at Saints corner flag). Not sure of scorer.
Moylena went 4-2 up as Mousey had an easy tap in after a goalmouth scramble.
Saints put the pressure on in the last 10 and made it 4.3 from a near post flick on O.G from Steek Wilson from a corner.
The pen incident that was not given was one of those debatable ones. Seen them given sometimes. All about interpretation. Whoever struck the ball from the 18 yard box belted it staright at our player, who in my opinion could not have done much to get out the way. That's my take on it. Others may disagree.
Read the write up in the Gaurdian tomorrow in case I missed any bits!!!

That's right Hud. Signed in February (as back up only) but their 1st choice keeper got injured. I played against Dergview, Killymoon, Carrick, Limavady, Ballyclare, Tobermore and Portadown. Some difference from BSML and I am not taking anything away from the Ballymena league.

BFP you are getting less friendly by the day.
If you have any concerns about the legality of my appearances from my signing for Glebe, you know Brian Montgomery would only be too happy verify that, in all appearances, my name was indeed ticked.
Moylena have never been a club that have been dishonest unlike others in the league.
