Seeing as there's been one made for the other 2 leagues I thought we'd get in on the act too Same rules as the others regarding players from on team etc From those that i've played against (and i've missed a couple of games and i'm sure some players I name haven't played all season) i'd go for... GK Atcheson (Cloughmills) CB Chopper?! (St Comgalls) CB Sponge (Wakehurst) CB Dale?! (St Comgalls) RM Steeler (Wakehurst) LM Scully (Blackstone) CM Bambi (Wakehurst) CM Adie McDonald (Cloughmills) CF Chris McDonald (Cloughmills) CF Studs (Wakehurst) CF Squeak?! (St Comgalls) Cue the disagreement and arguments ;D

Good thread. We were struggling for names to vote for. Bald blackstone player is Peter Scullion aka Scully. Does Chopper sometimes play midfield? Guy with shaved head played in middle of park against us but was told he played at back in cup final.

Thats the fella Dale, i think. he played in the midfield against us too but i couldn't fit him into the one i had and thought he was superb in at sweeper in the final, so comfortable on the ball, so i put him as a defender as i couldn't think of any other centre backs lol

Does he play for Lisnafillan?! If so i haven't played against youse this season to know any of ur players, and my team may change by the end of the season, and i don't know everyones name to put them in as well, like i say just putting it in from what i've played against this year to date!

very honest assessment there norty, would have to agree with most of that selection. infact couldnt think of any alternatives to those youve listed
btw, thought the fella chopper was immense all 4 times we played them!

Well i no i'm biased but i think kyle would go into the team and if Billy Mitchell played all season he'd be one of the first names on almost any team in the league!

Chopper (Paul Smyth) plays centre back. (and getting my vote for player of the year!) Dale Kelly played centre midfield up until about 6 games ago and now plays centre back with Chopper. The baldy one in centre midfield is Rab Brown dont think he played against Conor this year due to work. All 3 came down from LTOB last year.
Gary is the most consistant player in our team and captain.
Masty is our left back who is the best header in the league by a mile. 2 seasons ago he was our top goal scorer with 23 goals and 17 were from his head at left back! Only got 8 this year.
Them 2 would walk on to any team. So good picking them. Squeak is a good player but real lazy. Wont rush to put him in. I dont know a lot of the other players as well as you guys but from our squad (St.Comgalls) I'll name 5 that could walk into any side in the first never mind second or third.
Ill add them in and you lads can add to them.
Gk
RB CB Chopper CB Dale LB Masty
RM CM Rab Brown CM LM
CF CF Gary Mc Corry

Good shouts mostly, hard to think beyond people from st comgalls, cloughmills and wakehurst. Number 6 for Westend who played centre midfield against us wasnt a bad player, dont no any names. Being biased id say some of our players would also have a shout...Nortons had a good year at centre half, wee Jordan Leightons been consistent all year and Daryl Coyles shown what he can do in glimpses. Billy Mitchell would be a cert if he had been there all year.

............and there was a good midfielder for Cullybackey when we played them in the cup semi, think he was one of their ticked players. He run the show for them, although he was a mouthy f**ker, and towards the end just wanted to kick the younger lads. Would include him as well.

Paul McBurney is probably the centre mid for Cullybackey. Great player and would be even better if he cut out mouthing and kicking boys because that takes up a lot of his time.

notdoitwhenu90 SPOT ON. Kicks everybody he plays against but if he wised up could be a really good player.
Dont wana blow our own trumpet here but Trevor and Dale for me have my 2 outstanding players of the season. For a wee lad Dale is unreal.

McBurney is a good lad like, just gets frustrated too easy. Played against him tonight against Clough afternoon team, too easily frustrated apart from that a decent player.
Trevor and wee Dale two good players for Lisnafillan, Trev very strong in the air. Dale likes the ball into feet, tricky wee fella.
From the Rangers squad Kyle McRoberts, Warren McCosh, Billy Mitchell and Daryll Coyle would be in my team of the year without a doubt and if wee Bobby Mitchell was still there he'd be the first name on my sheet.

I would say Ricky Wilson from Athletico Antrim is the best player in the league.

Is he the fella that plays in the middle of the park?! If so i wasn't overly impressed with him the night we played them down there, he won a few headers but Billy Mitchell played him off the park and didn't really give him a kick, and he was playing with a broken bone in his foot lol.
The fella McCorry up front for St Comgalls isn't a bad player, got a good touch and is good at holding the ball up from what i've seen of, and now you mention your left back i do remember him being very impressive against us!
Also didn't enjoy marking the fella Trevor from Woodside the day they beat us 3-0, very strong lad, and he scored a real peach!

Ricky Wilson (Razor) didn't play that night Norton..he's been out injured for a few months. The guy u're thinking of was prob Ricky Simpson.
Razor is def one of best players in the league. Got a lot of injury problems tho..which is a shame. He's a huge influence on our team when he plays.

The play off semi's are supposed to be on the 23rd but surely they can't be regardless the outcome off the Wakehurst decision with Connor playing Woodside on the 23rd??
