Have'nt posted on the Waveney board for a wee while, so thought I better update it with something!
Few bad results in the past few weeks lads, but doesnt mean everything is over for us yet!
Unlucky on sat, missed few chances in first half, which I think we dominated, but Moylena definately deserved it in second half. Good team, with a few battlers, who IMO are good contenders for the Rainey cup this year!
Big match on Sat against Glencloy away. Need a huge performance from all the lads, to get us out of relegation and back into mid-table.

Early days for predicting winners pele. To be honest with you, the wind didn't help on Saturday, but we dealt with it better when playing against it as it was 0.0 half time playing with it. We like to get the ball down and play football which is why we struggled with the wind. As for dominating the 1st half, it's no good dominating if you don't create chances! You had 2 attempts on target in 90 mins. One cleared off the line and another superbly saved One thing you can be sure of against Glencloy is a battle. They don't play great football at times but like the physical side of the game. Good luck.

I must admit, you're right about creating chances stevie!!! We didnt create much, and also didnt take our chances on saturday, no matter how few of them there were. Ironically, both teams played better when playing into the wind!! PS - Didnt predict that youse boys would WIN the cup, but are good contenders for it!!!

Result: 3-3
Goals for Waveney:
S Dowds (2) P Craig
Thought we done quite well on saturday, but lost our discipline in last 15-20 mins, giving away 2 goals. To be fair, Glencloys second goal was not a penalty, and the third goal was a dubious one, as i thought our keeper had lifted the ball off the ground and the wee forward kicked it out of his hands.....but fair play to Glencloy, they battled hard and also missed some other chances to take the lead.
Good performances from Willy McNabb and Stevie Dowds on Saturday - both lads worked hard and only unfortunate we couldnt bring off a win to compliment their hard work.
IMO, 2 points dropped for the Waveney, but heads have to be lifted and focused for this week against ASOB.

Was a good game alright pele, with both teams having decent spells, and would have to agree with you about the penalty....Although i seem to remember you lads being awarded a dubious penalty in injury time the last time we met to also make it 3-3 IMO, based on our second half performance, i thought it was 2 points dropped for glencloy...we had you camped in your own half for the last 15-20 minutes. Anyhow, best of luck for the rest of your season...should be an interesting battle down there!!!!

Strange enough game i thought, we were 2-0 down at a stage but were the better team. Similar story second half but yet found ourselves 3-1 down. The penalty was never a penalty to be honest, but the 3rd goal was definately legit, keeper had dropped/let go of the ball when it was kicked.
Certainly 2 points dropped i felt from us, particular the 2 chances we missed in the first half when it was harder to miss than score, but at the same time going by the table a point suited us better than yourselves.

I honestly dont think u's were the better team in the first half, but everyone has their own opinion! Still cant believe ur forward missed that open net right enough!!
3rd goal was a shaky one too, i thought the wee lad kicked the ball out of his hands.
Yer wee man Dunga is a good wee player, sharp as fuk and v.hard to mark!! TBH, without him u;s wouldnt have had half the chances, as in the second half he played all over the place!
