In the defence of the secretary and committee we did send the letter on time to the County Antrim FA Secretary but for some strange reason it was not included in the draw. I have called him several times and he is trying his best to get us into the next round although I wouldn't hold out much hope. The secretary of County Antrim FA told me that he has our envelope (with the correct date of posting) in his possession which to me is as good as a recorded delivery notice.
Our problem lies where the rules also state that the submission has to be with the FA by a certain date...........I suggest that the fault for this lies firmly with Royal Mail rather than the committee as we now have proof of postage. If we are not included in the next round I will be making an appeal to the County Antrim FA and a complaint to Royal Mail (not that it'll do much good but why lie down and take this crap).
The problem is that the rules state, 'It is in the best interest of the club to send the player list by the date required via recorded delivery.' This is not a requirement!!!! We sent it on time without recorded delivery and it was held up for several days in the post. When it arrived with the FA the draw had already been made and we were not included.
As for the real topic of this post...........Ramsey is catching up on wafclegend for bad boy status!!! I think we'll start running a Westend School of Tackling Technique!!!!

I blame it on Postman Pat to the bastert!! Its well seen your a student!! Fingers crossed on the junior shield then. Squiggles doesn't have bad boy status. Its just cause he is slow that he gives a lot of fouls away and also has a big gob which doesn't help. |
