Is that this saturday? Never hear much till training on tuesday. The pitch is beside the community centre in Broughshane. Season has been up and down this year, we either win 4-0 or get beat 4-0! Just depends on what sort of a team we get out. We had a good win last week against Shore who were unbeaten this yr so hopefully we can build on that this Sat!

Aye the game will definately be on as long as there isn't a monsoon! Can take a bit of rain, prob one of the better pitches in the league. We won 4-0 against shore, was a good game, we actually took our chances for a change. The 'big' pitch definately suited my game as I didn't have to move much!

Nah Brew hasn't really been involved much this season as he was getting married and that. Not sure if he's planning on playing this year.
Pugford, I really like the shore pitch, mainly because of its size! makes things a lot easier for defenders! It is a bit crap though, you could score from anywhere on it! The 18 yard box is nearly at the sidelines!

Your right, you really can score from anywhere on it. There must be 4 foot from 18 to the touchline lmao ;D ;D Donko will be on here in twenny seconds defending it lol

I loved big Mark's clearances from his 18 yd line to inside Shore's penalty box. Now that's counter attacking ;D Where is the old Home pitch?? And guesswhoback78, you've obviously never been in Broughshane before! Its the only pitch in the village.

Is that why you Pugford, when you were manager (for want of a better word) of Massereene, went behind our backs to try and get Shore's pitch in summer 2006??? You said to at least 2 players " Dont be signing for Shore, their sh7t and we are going to have their pitch soon anyway" and you were phoning the Rubgy club asking about it as well!!!

What I did hear, and from a very "reliable person" is that yous were about to be kicked off it, cause yous are(or were) too lazy to look after it!!
Thats a FACT!

So you arent denying that you wanted "the worst pitch in the league" for your team I'm saying I was approached that the pitch may come available. I can honestly say that I satand by my statement. Its terrible. You know it is! It doesnt hold water well and is tiny. Your a bit deluded if you think its anywhere near decent.

Now the set up yous and Holywell have is a different story. Hocky pitches to train on, flood lit and a club house. Every club would want that. No question.
Its the pitch i'm talkin about, nothing else.
You starting to bring up Massereene? ffs get a life!
I was starting from scratch, with a squad of very average players. I'd love to have seen what your magagerial skills would have conjured up in that position.
Do you even take your training??

I think you will find that it was the previous management who were in charge when we were "lazy" and in danger of losing the pitch. It took a lot of grovelling when we took over to be able to keep the pitch and the facilities at the Rugby club. Our pitch may not be the best, but we have to self maintain it, cut it, line it out, pay for posts, nets, flags, repair any damage to it, sow the grass in summer etc. I would say we have to do a lot more work to it that most other teams in the league, and then you get boys coming on here slagging it off. As for taking my training? What, whats that got to do with anything, we have a very very good trainer, and i would say we arent the only team in the league that the Manager doesnt take training. I think you are clutching at straws there Puggy

Toys are out. Believe it.
Easy for people to upcast what happened at Massereene, i'm always going to bite. As you put it, you hit a nerve, especially as it was so out of context.
Couldnt help but bite!

Could be worse, look at poor Arfur - must be 50 lost in a row now!!!
I once played for Shore when we got 8 points in a season and finishing 3rd bottom was an acheivement, and thats only 4 years ago!!! (and if it hadnt been for that pitch it could have been a lot worse for a man of my pace!!)

Donko , Your comment about Pugsta and management was well out of order, i was there when Pug took over a ordinary team, and tried his best to get a structure done for them. Unfort the players that he had where not good enough. Pug did his best and i think did a sterling job as Manager. Dinko for your wee comment be smited
