Where are you guys playing at this year and whats the story with the club?
Have you guys been formed by a break away basque separatist stuck here after that spanish armada wreckage or is it the usual less glamourous story of a team being formed of men that have been thrown out of Belfast?

They are an Antrim based team, who will share Holywells pitch at Allen Park. (Shore bound to be rippin lol)
Craig Murdock started the team up, and I think Leo Hagarty (ex Enkalon & Chimney Corner manager, has taken the reigns.

I can assure you we are not ripping about Holywell sharing their pitch, we have our own pitch and have total control of it. If anything i would say Sprouley is ripping, Atletico played on the pitch last Saturday in that p7ssing rain. There are 3 matches due on it this week too. Its a good pitch but its going to be put the test

In sayin that, if yous pulled that top net back a bit and had the pitch marked out, the pitch yous have wouldnt be so bad. There is room to make it bigger, why not do it?

Our pitch actually suits us, frustrates visiiting teams, and then when we play away the boys love to get a bit of room and spread the ball about.

Never played on that pitch before, what about the enkalon pitches? are they still being looked after by the council To my knowledge the Enkalon pitches were never looked after by the council, they were owned and maintained by Enkalon Sports and Social club. After the closure and sale of he club, the pitches were left to grow over..... a waste of possibly the best pitch Antrim had.

I worked for the council and drew up proposals for a pavilion and changing rooms there to replace the wooden huts. There maybe was some quiry as to who actually had rights the land, no point the council putting thousands into pitches and facilites if the land gets sold of to some developer

Far as i'm aware the Enkalon Foundation own the lot.
Agree that its a waste of a super pitch, and training pitches, and also a waste of a damn good club house!!

Cheers for the welcome lads.
The team was started up by a group of us from the Antrim area who played on the astro-turf at the forum every wk. We decided to put a team together and get a bit of competitive football!
Leo Hegarty took on the role as manager and some of u might also know Craig Murdock and Gary Ritchie as they've played in the league before. The rest of us are newcomers to the BSML.
With regards to the pitch - it did take a bit of a battering last Saturday but has recovered brilliantly so i don't see any problems there.
