The first big derby fixture of the season in Randalstown is out . There has been so much interest in the town when it would happen. Over the years the Sky Blue's I'm sure have won them all, but it never has been the same as it is now, with both in the 1st div . Two very experience managers Jacko the legend and Alex Rainey. Jacko has been in charge of the Reds since time began, and has had his most successful year and team last season.( Winning the 2nd Div Championship) Jacko is very highly though of by his current crop of players and runs a tight ship. Alex Rainey has been in charge of the Sky Blue's for as long as I can remember, and has been very successful over the years. This will be a very competitive game of that I am sure of. The only thing Randalstown F C are disappointed about is they are drew away from home;D ;D ;D

Athletic are due to play Clough away on this date so its probably safe to say that there will be no game for us. so it looks like we are going to get to see the big derby. Have to say, it will be a tight one to call.........the other thing Brian is that last year wasnt the reds most successful year, a few years back they completed the double so that probably just nicks it........oh I forgot, I played for them then........ ;D anyway going to call this one a draw, 2-2 Looking forward to it

yes B this will be a very very tough game - one that no doubt both teams will be looking forward to with a few players on both sides having played for both teams !
No doubt the River Plate will be sold out for this one !
ps - can't believe you didnt mention your 'player of the year' award too that year Steeksy ! And what a great side that was !

You know me Ricky, I'm that modest, dont like to mention it ;D ;D ;D Great wee side then, which included Sammy Foster and Sammy Neill Brian, winning two trophies in a year over winning one means that it was more successful........its all relative

Finally its out! The game i've been looking forward too the most since joining the Mighty Reds. Should be a good tight game with plenty of spectators down watching.

Sky Blues to win 3 0
but then again them Rainey boys probably have a scheme up their sleaves would not surprise me if the reds won to give them points because looking at the table they are going to be in a relegation dog fight.

At last the big derby match is to happen . Both teams will be finding there feet again, after Christmas and the new year break. I would say both teams will be well up for this one and why not.
