Game played yesterday in memory of End McAuley who passed away some months back after a long illness. The two teams he played for Dublin Road Select and Rathenraw (now FC Antrim) played in a charity game yesterday and we raised 2200.00 pound for the McMillan Nurses.
The starting 11 were as follows
Rathenraw 1 Loafy 2 Dingus 3 Gerard McAuley 4 Dessie Jackson 5 Liam Connelly 6 Tony Jennings 7 Fergie Wallace 8 Mickey Wilson 1 goal 9 Alan Martin 10 Alan Porter 1 goal 11 Maurice Devine
Dublin Road Select 1 Dominic Allen 2 Stephen Irvine 3 Chris Irvine 1 goal 4 Gary McCaig 5 Kevin McAuley 1 goal 6 Seamus Duffy 7 Mickey O'Hagan 1 goal 8 John Walshe 9 Jeff Johnston 10 Boyd Cathcart 11 Peggy Preston 1 goal
Result: Dublin Road Select 4 - 2 Rathenraw
A fantastic day with a large crowd watching the game. The game itself was very competitive with DRS deserving their win.
Great day, super amount of money raised, good to see old mates again and a fitting day for Enda McAuley's memory. He would have loved it.
Hopefully this can be an annual event as Rathenraw are looking for some revenge.

Excellent idea, and I'm sure it was a great game. Well done all concerned, and good to see some great names from the past getting the boots on again.
Special mention to Chris Irvine, me old mate for playing, he must be at least around the 50 mark, and even scored, well done oul hand!! ;D
