Yeah final is against holywell on fri 23rd at the phoenix (penarols pitch) everyone played well, right from the keeper to the 3 subs, it was a fantastic team performance and a cup final is a just reward for all the effort the lads have put in all season long bloody great result! what a performance, had to be to beat the league champions who have only lost 1 game all season..i think! game started off fast and furious as you would expect, no team really on top.. then for about 15 minutes saints got on top, should have scored when Ciaran missed a free header from 6 yards.. both teams had a few half chances before saints finally broke the deadlock..deservedly so too. Aaron lemon got on the ball, smashed one from 25 yards out, hit the cross bar bounced out to ciaran who nodded home. Carniny always looked dangers, good players all over the pitch, though we were defending pretty well, especially odhran and conal, having great games. saints went on to miss another 2 sitters, again from headers from about 6 yards, cant rem who missed them though, il blame kel. useless hure! lol carniny finally did score, ball wasnt cleared from a corner, shot came back in as we were pushing out, carniny man flicked it on and in it went.. looked offside..ref said it was an o.g..what the f**k!! second half was a tight affair, end to end stuff, saints had a strong penalty claim turned down and hit the cross bar..big timmy in nets dealt with everything carniny had. we finally scored the winner in the 88th minute, quick long throw by bfp to liam who squared to Chicky no slide home the winner. great performance, every player worked their balls off, and should feel great this morning! yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooowwwwwwww hail hail

Well done lads I watched the match and thought you were the superior team and you seemed to have the bit between your teeth and were more up for it. Well done and good luck in the final lads Stan coming from a neutral thats good to hear..cheers. Think the key to Stan's comments is "were more up for it". Take nothing away from All Saints because I think they probably deserved the win based on desire to win and chances created, but Carniny didn't start until about the 30th minute and even then there was no constant pressure being applied on the All Saints back four. It was a very sloppy clearance for All Saints 1st goal (although yer man Lemon hit an absolute belter from 25 yards), and the second goal was quick thinking on BFP's part as he picked up the nearest ball to the line and took a quick throw which caught us out (however, considering one of your guys went running for the original ball that was played out and a lot of Carniny guys were busy watching him it was perhaps slightly inconsistent of the ref to let it go as he had been picky throughout the match about throw ins). But as I said, fair play to All Saints. They deserved their victory and good luck to them in the final.

Header have to agree with you there it did take Carniny 30 odd mins to get going and you did create some good chances. Well done to Carniny in having a great season and I was chatting to Dobby before the game ( he's a distant cousin ) and wish him and the team all the best for the future.

i agree with you aswell lenny, the ref was well within his rights to call it back, that said it was sloppy of the carniny defence not to be ready for it, because i had taken very quick throws a few times in the match, and not once were carniny on their toes waiting for it. however all this said, we had a stone wall penalty not given, beastie practically caught the ball in the box about 10 or 15 mins from the end of the game. dont know how the ref didnt give it.

Now now bfp. No doubt it was a handball but considering I had me eyes closed (like I always do ;D) when I went to control the ball I couldn't have done anything about it hitting me. Would have been very, very harsh but not denying it was a handball. Usual old story of inconsistent refereeing as another ref I know would have said it definitely wasn't a handball as it wasn't deliberate, but however you look at it if it was at the other end of the pitch I would have wanted it given. The handball rule is a total farce as there is not definite rule in my opinion. Thought you were more than a bit lucky bfp to get away with the abuse you gave the ref for a good 3-4 minutes. I know what you were saying was right but you were nearly worse than me going on and on. Then when you started saying that it was ridiculous (with a few other words inbetween ) I thought you were a cert to get booked especially with that ref. If ever there was a ref that thinks he is above every player on the pitch that is him. His attitude in my opinion stinks and I know he's not there to take abuse but some of his decision making is ridiculous. He reffed us against the homers the week before and was terrible. The softest free kicks ever on one side and when a couple of our flying wingers were sent flying with a couple of haymakers we were told as always to "Shut up and go away" when you look for a bit of protection. Anyhow the ref last night didn't cost us the game. All Saints played and fought better and harder than we did so we got what we deserved.

Anyhow the ref last night didn't cost us the game. All Saints played and fought better and harder than we did so we got what we deserved. yeah i thought he was gonna book me aswell for that outburst, but he knew i was right and thats why he didnt. what i was arguing about was when marrs came out and jumped to catch a ball he led with his knees (which to me is absolutely fine, and not a foul) but in a match last week one of our players got a free against him for doing this, and i questioned it saying if a keeper can jump with his knees up, then so can an outfield player (no other player near our man at the time, so it was a strange decision to give against him) and the ref (same ref as last night) just said to me if the keeper jumps like that then i'll give a penalty, so thats why i shouted for one when marrs jumped like that. In my eyes its not a penalty, but the ref told me the week before that it was. Then he had the cheek to say that was last weeks match, different match this week, so i said different match, same rules though, and he didnt know what to say to that. He is definately is up himself and an arrogant git who can never hold his hands up and say sorry i got it wrong. I still reckon Wa is the best ref in the league. that all said, i thought it was a great match last night, and needless to say we were ecstatic to get the result, cos you's are a first class team, and no doubt about it the best team in the league as you proved all season. Very young team aswell (with maybe an exception or two ), so things are looking good for yous for years to come

Can't say we were missing anybody in particular. Big Alex in nets wasn't playing, wee bunter injured, but we put out a strong team but didn't turn up as a team. Front men didn't see enough of the ball, midfielders didn't get a decent chance to run at anybody and the defence wasn't given time to pick a pass which is credit to your frontmen. Season over for us. Lost to Holywell in Carlsberg Cup 1st round. We are still going for an unbeaten league campaign. Waveney Swifts is our last match so we will be well up for that. Usual end of season hangover after the league has been won - just couldn't lift ourselves for the cup games. Anyhow thats our problem and one we will rectify I am sure. League in my opinion is the bread and butter, cups are always nice but only as a bonus on the league. With respect to all cup winners I would gladly keep winning the league and no cups than all the cups and no league.

Big Ryan was number 6 last night, must of been your fella Ciaran then. Thought them 2 had good games. Your number 11 is very good at travelling way the ball, can beat players for fun.
You didn't have much to do when you came on Lenny.lol
