Braid raced into a two goal lead in this one before we even got going. A moment of madness from there midfielder when he kicked out for no apparent reason has to go down as one of the turning points in the game after he was sent off.

We found ourselves two down and we werent playing all that badly but after a stern 'talking to' lol at half time the real abbeyview emerged and took control in the second half, Braid hardly got a kick. A lot of credit must go to Andy Smith who came on off the bench and grabbed the game by the scruff and turned it in our favour.

Braid missed a golden chance to equalise when their captain fired a penalty over with the last kick of the ball!!

Very tough game but another 3 points nonetheless!! Cant understand why teams like Braid cant get this type of team out every week as it was a completly different team to the one we beat 9-0 at the start of the season!

Think the sending off was a big turning point in this one. Braid also had 5 players out injured for this one, hopefully a few of them will be back for the run in. Still need to pick up a few wins to reach the play-offs. Congrats on winning the league.

You's have def the best team I've seen in the league this season.
from our 9-0 whipping to last night, just shows we've improved a good bit, but even last night we'd struggled to get a full squad together, just that the ones playing really wanted to get the points.
Not sure what goes thru big marks head, just red mist, his sending off def was the turning point & esp after derek missed the penalty.
but then I reckon if we'd scored the ref would of played on till you got a winner.....he was f**king shocking last night, some of his decisions were aweful.

I think the ref got a lot of decisions wrong for both sides. Yours was not a pen as our defender clearly hit the ball first and we had a perfectly good goal disallowed in the first half. That ref had a stinker the last time we played yous up there as well.

Despite our celebrations last night we havent won the league, we still need one more win. That just showed how much that win meant to us as we know that we always get a tough tough game when we travel up to play yous!
