Cesc....you obviously want to sign for Athletic and the mighty revolution, as you keep bring them and Bremner into threads that have nothing to do with them.  For the record........Bremner may have turned things round at Athletic but believe me this is only the start of it. Lots in teams in the BSML will sit up and take notice of whats going on at Athletic and whats in the pipeline.  Its also obvously that you try to knock a manager that has not only impressed in his first few months in the job but impressed in his years of playing the game. Without sounding like the man himself but........go round and he'll show you his trophies. Anyone or team that is able to parade a shed load of trophies like Bremner deserves respect. I've said before that i would be one of the first to congratulate the Skyblues if they win the league or the Reds if they win the playoff final...why..........respect, something you seriously lack. If you cant learn respect then you'll never better yourself as a peson or as a player.....which from what im told you could do with bettering your football skills ;D Now i dont doubt that you will have something to say on this.....but keep it respectful........or we'll get Pav on to you ;D ;D ;D VIVA LA REVOLUTION !! p.s. I also heard the reds were a feeder for the SKyblues....find that hard to beleive........very few Reds players would make the SKyblues team....no disrespect intended to any Reds players  |

think cat you'll find junior had the chance to sign for athletic and turned them down. perhaps you werent aware he has already played for them for two years?  ? the way your lickin brem's ass you'd think you were his brother or something!! i wouldnt knock athletic or the way there progressing, i was there for four years and was captain for two, take a look at the trophies, my names on player of the year twice, managers player of the year, and young player of the year, but the team now is totally different and the way they are going is totally different. remember athletic was set up by players for the reds who jackie wasn't playing. and steeky's was one of them, he was there the first year but quit half way, because he couldnt get a game, ask james or raymond. |

seems to me a lot of people in here dont know a lot about history. athletic were formed by people who were sick sore and tired of the way the reds were being run by "the legend" nothing to do with certain players no being good enough. bremner did not come to us as a player until our second season, he came when we went undefeated from october through to the end of the season and at his age just couldn't quite squeeze in to a very successful team at that time. a wee bit like you weedo at the time  . bremners record as a player is exceptional and i can safely say without fear of contradiction that no player in randalstown football history has won the titles, cups and all the rest. we are DELIGHTED ;D to have him as our manager and look forward to him bringing success to the one true great wee club in the town ;D ;D |

Remember we were bottom of the league, we were struggling for players and you became available. Of course I would tell you anything to sign you. You nearly bit as well........how did it go again. Will see how it goes and if it doesnt work out will sign for you. And you Junior.......the only reason I was at you was to get weedo, if I got the stodge in the double act then I had a better chance in getting Weedo. However, you little boy, would not get into my team at present. In fact Robin Neill is a better player in my opinion and thats at the present time, in a few years you wouldnt even come close to him. And the main reason hes a better player in my opinion is that he has got balls......something you dont........how do you play again, Huff, Puff and do f**k all |

Again Weedo you state totally the wrong facts. I left the Reds long before Athletic were formed and was NEVER dropped ever whilst playing for them. After I left the reds, I stopped playing for 6 months. I then went to the Blues and struggled with injuries. Alex can confirm. Stayed there for a season and a half and decided that I was past my best and stopped. I was then asked to sign for Athletic whilst Daffy was in charge. I played 3 or 4 times and I think twice as sub, but again struggled with injuries but my heart wasnt really in it so I jacked it in. Nothing to do with not getting a game. I see in your little spiel that you didnt mention that when I was younger than you I was playing for BSML league representative side, along with Dessie Winters, Sean Quinn, Melvyn Wright, Wes Lamont, Ronnie Carlton, Dessie Watson and so on........so Weedo, I have nothing to prove to anyone about the standard I played. I may not play now, but someone thought I could at some point so thats good enough for me. Oh thats right did I mention that I won the 1st division with Enkalon and was 3 rd division player of the year when the reds won the league tilte. How many titles have you won Weedo in your short career........NONE |

That was a bit of an ignorant post considering the comparison between Stephen and David is a little unfair on the younger of the two. As far as I am aware David doesn't have anywhere near the number of acclaims that Stephen has, and I will hazard that he never will because he would need to start collecting them medals. It would be good for people around here to back up their opinions with a little fact, instead of just ploughing on ahead.  |

You're just annoyed because I'm a neutral in this argument and chastising the members who went too far...which just happened to be your teammate on this occasion. Look, there's no blinkers on David, I've told off plenty of people for going too far in my two years running this board David and I'm not going to stop just because an argument crops up between two rival teams of my hometown, and because I happen to know all the parties involved. ...if you want to try and run this place, so be it, I'll tell you now, it's a damn sight harder from this side of the keyboard to manage so many ego-centric personalities. |

I have been monitoring this thread mainly because of the match played last week but soon discovered after about 1 page of comments on the match that it was off the beaten track entirely. Bremner, I don't know you at all. I would say I have played against you at sometime but can't put a face to the name but I think your comments above were a tad out of order and going by previous comments out of character. All the medals in the world doesn't condone these comments and I know they may have been said in the heat of the moment but where still unwarranted. Weedo and Junior I have played against and although neither have the accolades that you have and Junior suits his hair in pigtails rather than a hairband  ;D and Weedo sometimes gets carried away with the fact that he scored the winning goal against Carniny at the beginning of the year and likes to remind us of it ;D, they deserve respect However, Weedo and Junior have had their fair share of comments which you may feel is showing a lack of respect to you or to Athletic and I am not defending their comments ("I'm a neutral in this argument"......isn't that right Pav ;D) but if I was a player signed for you I would be wondering am I there because he wants to get to somebody else or does he genuinely want me at the club. Respect is something you earn and with the amount of medals you seem to have I certainly agree that you deserve it......but respect can be lost very easily by things said and done where sometimes saying nothing is the best form of defence. Header. I would agree that this is out of character for me.
As for any of my players, I have no second agenda with any of them, they all signed on their own accord and have all played their part in the squad towards our second division survival. I treat everyone of them with the up most respect and that is reciprocated.
I think header that if you have the view on this site that everything said was a serious issue, then who ever finds the comments offensive should log out. I for one like to think this Forum is for the BSML community to discuss issues regarding the league and have good friendly banter with other teams and to date, I think thats been the case. However, comments have been thrown from people that over step the mark, and I would agree that my comments are in that category, in fact its quite embarrassing now that I read them back.
So I will end this little contest and put it to bed. And for the record, both Weedo and Junior know the real truth in the matter.
Thanks for you comments Header, they touched a nerve with me and made me realise that I was coming down to the oppositions level ;D
